The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 does not officially target the store shelf by the end of this month, but has established itself as the most exciting fold release of the year. With its impressive thin and light designs, large screens and better cameras, Z Fold offers a strong argument to buy folding phones in 7 2025.
Although the United States is still not like other markets with foldable handset, there are still options to choose from. And just like Fold 7, it is worth considering these options before deciding that Samsung’s latest fit is the right fit for you.
So, before you click “Buy Now” with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in your online shopping cart, here are the five alternatives that I can recommend instead of buying.

Perhaps the most obvious alternative to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is its predecessor, Galaxy Z Fold 6. Samsung’s latest fold is clearly better in both phones, the most notable difference is the design. Fold is thin compared to 7 times 6 (8.9 mm closed vs. 12.1 mm) and very light, compared to (215 grams vs 239 grams). This can make a big difference in everyday use, especially if you usually find folding phones a lot.
However, if you are fine with Fold 6, which is a bit of chicken and heavy, it may be able to go with last year’s handset. Although Fold 7 has a slightly larger display, they are not dramatically larger than Fold 6. Fold 6’s 50 MP primary camera does not look like 200 MP on Fold 7, but it is still a good, reliable sensor. And Fold 6’s Snapdragon 8 General 3 chip, while at this point over a year of age, is faster for any app or game.
More importantly, many aspects of Fold 7 and Fold 6 are the same. Both phones have 256GB storage and 12 GB RAM for base models, 4,400mAh batteries, 25W wired charging, 10 MP telephoto camera, and 12 MP ultra -wide camera. Fold 7 is a better phone, but it is very common with his old siblings.
Although Samsung is no longer selling Fold 6, many retailers and carriers are still there. More importantly, in view of the age of Fold 6, you should be able to find it at a great discount. If you want a foldable phone but don’t need the Samsung Foldable Phone, the next best choice is Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Google’s folding phone is slightly thick (and much heavy) than Fold 7, but if you can ignore it, this is a great alternative to Samsung’s latest.
In terms of hardware/sunglasses, there is a lot to like the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It has an 8-inch internal display (Fold 7-like size), 16GB for base model, and a decent camera setup-which includes 48MP primary, 10.8MP telephoto, and 10.5MP ultra-wide sensor. Its battery fold is slightly larger than 7, which has 4,650mAh capacity.
The thing that really features Pixel 9 Pro Folds is its software. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold features the same pixel related software that is found on other Pixel phones, and they are among the best people you get. With features like call screen, hold for me, play now, pixel screen shots, etc., there are many software Goods that you can get on just one pixel. In addition, if you like the substance 3 H3 Express interface that is coming as part of Android 16 QRP1, only Pixel 9 Pro Fold – Galaxy Zo Fold 7 or Fold 6 is not not – this change will be achieved.

My next recommendation may not be the most practical, but this is a phone that I still enjoy so much that I can’t help but also involve it. The OnePlus Open is far from the latest foldable phone in the market today, but the right person’s IT, it can still be fine, it is worth it.
According to the design, the OnePlus Open still looks terrific. I like to bump a large circular camera (which is a great place to relax your finger while holding the phone), and leather is terrific on the black model. Both the external and internal display are very well maintained according to the standard of 2025, and I will argue that the cameras are more than capable. You also get 512GB storage and 16GB of Ram as default, a large 4,805mAh battery, and extremely fast 67W wired charging.
As you can expect from the phone released in 2023, the OnePlus is down to buy the Open in 2025. Its IPX4 rating is not as comprehensive as the IP48 rating for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, its Snapdragon 8 General 2 is slightly longing in the chip tooth.
There are real defects to consider, and for many people, fold 6 or pixel 9 pro folds will be more secure selection. But nevertheless, the OnePlus Open is still special. This is a phone that I sometimes get back all the time and then, and if you find it on sale, it can still make a very good purchase – even in a world where the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is present.

If you are considering buying the Galaxy Z Fold 7, this is probably because you want a big, powerful Samsung phone that it can do all. Although a slab phone will never duplicate the capacity offered by foldable, the Galaxy S25 ultra comes very close.

If you want the biggest and best sunglasses then the Galaxy S25 Ultra is a great z fold 7 replacement, but if you still want a Samsung phone that connects? If your married styling foldable form element is not married, the Galaxy Z Philip 7 is able to see one.
While the previous Z -Philips has interrupted by a small and tight cover screen screen, the plot is broken by 7, with an edge with a 4.1 -inch display.
