- Google is preparing to find the search date from the Circle.
- Taping on the new icon will open a page with your past searches, with song titles, thumbnoals and artists’ information.
- This feature is available on Android in beta and stable channels.
It is as easy to find a song or the name of the artist behind it as to find the Circle and activate the search for the song. But what will happen if you want to hear the song you first searched, but you don’t miss anything about it? This will not be a problem moving forward, because Circle to Search is now a feature of a song search history.
We have been monitoring this feature for a while, first finding that it is in progress in February. Although the viewing date of the song was not working at the time, it started rolling for beta testors in April. We then reported in June that Google plans to add a new icon to the Circle that will work as a shortcut on this page. Now, the shortcut version is included in both beta and stable channels with 16.27.
Access to the song search date, activate the Circle Circle to find and tap the music note icon in the search bar to start the search for the song. There should be a clock icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Tap on this icon and you will be taken to the “Recent Songs Search” page.
On this page, you will see your past searches, which will be completed with song titles, thumbnases and artists information. The songs are separated into groups up to 10 months. Under the page, you will also find the “Show Full Date” button. Taping this button will take you to a new page where you can see all the songs you have previously searched, minus the thumbnail art.
