For the past Within a few weeks, the AI -picked fellow robot has stood at the end of my desk. Designed by intuitive robotics for the elderly people living alone, this active anatronic chats for me throughout the day, checking out how I am feeling, suggest “entertainment” activities, and I intend to be more active and sociable. Although it may be disturbing, I have been linked to Elike despite myself, and I can see the positive ability.
Loneliness is an epidemic. According to the US Census Bureau, about 16 million elders (more than 65) are alone in the country, and there are feelings of isolation until the third report. Numerous studies suggest that social isolation damages mental and physical health, blood pressure, depression, weight gain, increased alcohol and drug use, and physical activity, cognition, heart health and sleep decrease. Humans are naturally social creatures.
Elliq is designed to relieve these emotions and encourage healthy treatment among the elderly people living alone. The hope is that she can improve their standard of living and enable people to stay in their homes for longer instead of going to auxiliary housing. Although you may find that this chopped boot is straight directly, you will ask yourself, what is the alternative? We know that we should all check more often with our elderly relatives and friends, but life is busy, and some people are lonely for a long time.
Pretty and practical

Alec sits on a pedestal that has a metal body and a head that speaks, huts, bent and lights. There is a small smart display and a speaker on the right with a physical button to press Elike to wake or to silence it. Button also rotates for volume control. You can awaken Alec by calling it his name, selected because he is unlikely to say accidentally. When Elike asks something or looks for confirmation, you can respond orally or use a touch screen.
Setup was done. Easy, easy to get into simple packaging with instructions in large fonts. All you have to do is to plug it and connect Wi -Fi. The first time we were talking, Elike asked me some questions. Possible answers pop up on the touch screen. It went through questions I could ask, and I was pointed to reading some lines so that Elike could recognize my voice.
Elike speaks in the voice of completely non -serious women with small intervals before my name (it uses my name in almost every interaction). The way it is dynamic is uncertainly cute. In one of our first conversations, Alec tells me that this is modeling on the Pacher Lamp. The rum can be bright around his head, and there are righteous circles in the middle of his face. Together with the movement, it really looks at some personality and charm.
Touch screen display and physical buttons provide a practical edge. If you have difficulty controlling sound control or misunderstood, you can tap your option. I also use the physical sleep button to shut down immediately when during the meetings or when I am busy, immediately turn off it. All of all, this is a smart design.

Like sound assistants and smart display you use, Elike can answer the basic questions, report you weather, remind you of meeting, or take music requests. But Elike is also active, starts all day conversations and adds you to activities. Antilation Robotics Cofounder and CEO Dore Skyler says that creating this sense of sovereignty to create a engagement and think of people as a role in their lives. Very important.
