The razor is launching a new $ 350 outdoor graphics enclosure that can increase the visual performance of gaming laptops or handhelds, provided you invest some other. The Razer Core XV2 is the first in the XEGPU Chassis lineup to support the high -speed Thunderbolt 5 connectivity standard, providing a single cable that provides up to 140W to the associated host devices.
Some generation upgrades provided by Core X V2 include support for large four slots AMD and NVIDIA GPUs, and backwards with Thunderbolt 4. Laptops equipped with Thunderbolt 5 are still very rare, but the basic X V2 should theoretically support bandout speed for the use of 80 GBPS.
In addition to the 120 mm cooling fan, it is the only thunderbolt 5 cable only the second essential. This means that consumers will need to buy not only a synchronized desktop graphics card (which may cost more powerful models), but also a standard ATX power supply that meets 230W for the Core XV2 as well as their GPU needs.
The previous Roger Corps Enclosure Model, such as 9 399 Core X Croma, came with a pre -installed power supply. This change probably offers more flexibility to GPU with high power needs, but for everyone, this is just an extra cost.
The Razor Corps XV2 also loses the integrated USB and Ethernet ports provided by its predecessor. Users who need more More of Perry Ferrles so they will do Plus A synchronized Thunderbolt needs to buy 5 dock – just like the $ 390, which is easily announced by the Razer along with the main X V2.
Thunderbolt 5 dock is currently available to buy Roger’s website. The Core X V2 is also listed, but not on sale yet. We have asked Roger to share when the EGPU will be available for purchase.
