Samsung Survey allegedly asks users about the future smartphones with Q2 Magnets

According to a report, Samsung is asking users about the possibility of adding a built -in magnet to their upcoming smartphones, to offer full support for Q2 wireless charging. A new survey in the Samsung members app is seeking consumer feedback on potential changes in the company’s handsets, which may lead to a slight increase in thickness. The Samsung Galaxy S25 series of smartphones arriving earlier this year supports sharp QI -2 wireless charging, but it is not equipped with Magnets like the HMD Skyline.

Samsung asks users to ask about increased smartphone thickness due to magnets

Semiguro watched a survey on the Samsung members app that contained numerous questions about the company’s smartphones. A question asks users whether adding support for Q2 charging (like Apple’s megasaf chargers) will reduce any inconvenience if they can only charge their smartphone wireless. Users can respond to the feature utility, or it will be more painful.

Another question in the Samsung survey asks users whether they have no objection to using a thick phone, if the company equips it with a built -in magnet. Consumers will prefer (or not prefer) to keep magnets, regardless of the increase in thickness. Consumers can also indicate whether they have no objection to the phone that is 0.3 mm or 0.5 mm thick for adding magnets.

It is worth noting that when Apple’s megassaf chargers are associated with the built -in magnets that were introduced for the first time with iPhone 12 in 2020, Android smartphone manufacturers are showing slowdown in increasing support for QI 2 wireless charging. The HMD Skyline and the Samsung Galaxy are in line with the S25 Series Q2, but is only equipped with the former magnet.

Q2 Manufacturers will have to support the expansion power profile (EPP) to fully support wireless charging, which offers fast charging and magnetic power profile (MPP) that depends on the magnet. Smartphones that support the MPP will present wireless charging capabilities as compatible as compatible with meg saf.

The Samsung survey shows that the company has considered the increase of magnetic wireless charging on its smartphones. Currently, it is unclear whether Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Edge, and Galaxy S25 will arrive with Ultra Qi 2 wireless charging support, or will require a dedicated case with built -in magnets such as this year’s models.
