Although the tough design of the iPhone 17 can be at the forefront of many people’s minds, I can’t help but I think about what is coming in the future. No, not the iPhone 18, but the subsequent one -20th birthday phone is allegedly in 2027.
The release may be more than two years, but we are already hearing a lot of rumors as to how this phone looks like. And if those rumors are correct, we can see the first full screen iPhone made by Apple. This is an interesting possibility, especially since full screen phones in the round for the first time did not get the proper shot.
But I can’t help but can be worried about some other design changes that are speculated that the 20th anniversary is on the way to the iPhone. And this is surprising me whether Apple is going to make a habit of objectionable design.

The camera under the display has not proved its worth

One of the biggest rumors is that Apple will offer a full screen display with the iPhone 20. A suitable, which has no obstacle to talking-no sign, no cut out. The phone will only offer a net screen, which is hidden below the surface, including the front camera.
The idea of an under -display camera is not new. Already in shipping, several phones have added hidden lens below their screens – in particular, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 via the recent Galaxy Z Fold 6. The problem is that these lenses have not really proven their value.
In fact, that Galaxy Z Fold Series is a good example of this, every later generation comes with the same invisible camera hardware. And if the truth, it was not impressive to start the quality of the pictures from Zo Fold 3.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has turned back into a classic hole in the camera, which gives us a better location of comparison. It is unclear why Samsung retreated, so we do not know whether the image quality was a factor or not, but our initial camera testing shows that the Z -Folds takes better selfies than the under -display camera of 7Z Fold 6.
Apple (or any other company, for this matter) is related to me as a central selfie camera choosing an under -display lens. As we have seen, those shooters are not on the same level like a maize camera, and when the Galaxy Z fold owners had many other options thanks to the flexible format, they cannot offer the same perseverance with the phones that you do not use.
You can’t choose an alternative selfie camera because it does not exist. Nor can you use the back camera, because you do not have a viewpinder to align everything in the frame.
In fact, Apple is not a company that switchs to a sub -hardware on a handle. The company was rumored to delay production on its foldable iPhone for a long time, as it was firmly found in the phone’s main display. Which shows that a fictitious under -display camera featured on the iPhone will be enough to meet its notorious high standards.
Still, when I see this happening, I will be less worried. As much as I would love to see the uninterrupted full screen display, I will face clearly doubts about the whole thing.
Are they … curved display?

One of the other big rumors we have heard is that the 20th birthday iPhone can be “mostly glass curved iPhone”. Another rumor claims that it will include “four -edge technology”. And, oh boy, I really hope that two rumors won’t talk. Because otherwise it means that Apple resurrected the curved screen phone.
Many of this concern are from the concept of a “quad curved” phone display, which is especially common with Chinese flagships. Listening to a phrase like “twisting four edges” seems to be a terrible extent, as Apple is pulling its spin on the same thing.
Throw into the rumor that it will help hide the bells, which is the most common defense of curved phone screens, and really stands on my hair.
I won’t hit the shrub: I despise the phone screens, and now it has been for many years. Not only does curvy letters make tapping the edges of your screen, but the curve itself is a significant weak point in glasses.
To further worsen matters, it is so difficult to apply the screen protector and meet the loss of this power. No need to say that I celebrated when Samsung finally abandoned the curved display, and the last thing I want is to resume Apple’s full stupid trend.
As much as phone companies can try and deny it, what Apple does affect how other people design their phone. Whether it’s more like Android looks more like iOS or just copying features and colors, if Apple does something, you may be sure that at least some of its competitors will do the same thing in a year or two. I don’t think I can bring myself a bring to it again with a curved display restoration.
I want to think that Apple knows what it is doing, and the 20th anniversary will not offer such a terrible design to iPhones. But considering the objectionable view of the iPhone 17 Pro-rumors for the phone that it doesn’t look good to me-I’m not sure I can trust the design of moving forward.
Down line
We are still very soon in the rumor of the iPhone 20. On the 20th anniversary of the phone, the phone cannot be expected to reach 2027, and that means there can be a lot between it and it will probably change.
Perhaps Apple found out that some of its high projects would not work as it had hoped in the years to come. Or may the company realize that some of these preliminary decisions are merely dumb.
But if what we’ve heard so far is true, and Apple continues to plan with it? I hope the company explains how to do all this-that is, under-display selfie cameras that can take high quality images and videos, and a glass screen that does not inadvertently resurrect the worst display trend because everyone has tried to make 3DTVs a thing.
