- One leakage claims that the Samsung Galaxy S26 can receive a 200 MP camera with Ultra Sony.
- This camera will be especially larger than 200 MP main camera used on S25 ultra, which suggests better quality of icon.
- This will be an unprecedented move by Samsung, as it has generally been conservative with hardware upgrades.
The Galaxy S25 has seen the same 200 MP main camera on the previous two Ultra phones of Samsung, and we were not expecting an upgrade in 2026. However, a leaker has now made a brave claim about the main camera of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Fixed Focus Digital on Webo claims that the Galaxy S26 will use Ultra 1/1.1 -inch 200 MP Sony camera sensor, which is visible for the main camera. See the machine translated screenshot below.
This will be a big deal for two reasons. The most notable thing about this claim is that it is a 1/1.1 -inch 200 MP camera sensor. It will be particularly larger than 200 MP sensor (1/13 inches), which is currently seen on the Galaxy S25 ultra and previous phones. In fact, it will be slightly smaller than the one -inch cameras shown on some rival flagship Android phones.
This large camera will enable the amount of growing light, which should improve the quality of the image compared to the current 200 MP sensors. Therefore, if the Samsung Galaxy S26 chooses this sensor at the 26 ultra, we are expecting better low light shots and high quality crop zoom images. In fact, I would not be surprised if the full resolution of this sensor is significantly superior to 200 MP images of 200 MP photos S25 Ultra.

This will also be a big deal as Samsung has used 200 MP cameras specifically for his ultra phones. The reason is that Sony has not yet released 200 MP sensors. Therefore, the Japanese firm’s ultra -high resolution will represent the move in place of smartphone sensor.
Saying, this will be an unprecedented aggressive move by Samsung, which has historically played it safe with a hardware upgrade. It has also come when two sources said earlier that the Galaxy S26 ultra will have a 200 MP main camera. However, no source explained whether it would be an upgrade 200 MP sensor. So we will advise you to take this latest rumor with a pinch of salt.
