Plopei has announced another desktop accessories called Plupi Nob, which can work like a controlled dial for adjusting the volume, scoring documentation, or scratching through the media. The Canadian company is not at all home name, such as Logitic, but Plope’s open source offers offers a lot of customization, and like its mouse and track balls, you can customize the shape of the nob by printing your own hardware 3D.

Pulopi Nob now through the company’s website. Available in 49.99 CAD (about $ 37). Unlike many other products of the company, you can manufacture yourself as cheaper DIY kits, this noob is only available as a fully accumulated product that has been pre -installed the software that operates outside the box. However, since it is open source, you can download all design files and software on the Pulpei Gut Hub page if you want to source the parts and make your own from the beginning.

Rasberry Pie uses a position sensor with a polling rate of 12 -bit resolution and more than 1 kg to track its rotation movements, reinforced by the RP 2040 microckonular. The company says Noob supports high resolution pixel scrolls on Windows and Linux, but warning is that this experience may not be so smooth on Apple computers. “Macos automatically smooth the input devices. It interferes with the code that runs on the nob, which means that the pixel by pixel does not work on high resolution scrolling Macos. It still acts as a scrolling device, but is in a sculpture.”

Like the company’s other Perry Ferrals, the Plofi Nob uses the open source QM firmware, which runs completely on the device so you don’t have to install additional software on your computer.
