If you are willing to rent Half about half a month on a new hair dryer, Dyson has options for you – but should you invest in supersonic nerve or supersonic R?

The former is probably what you think about when you hear ‘supersonic’ – this is the latest version of the dryer with a compact, sodol barrel, causing everyone to go to the nuts for the first time. The latter is one such name, but it looks very different. It’s like a pipe -shaped dryer and was actually only a professional only gadget, but now it is available in the user version.

I have tested both, and they are included in the market’s best hair dryer. You can read more about everyone in my Dyson Supersonic Nurl Review and Desin Supersonic R review. But who should spend your hard earned money?

Both models have their own strength, but mostly people, I think that nerve offers more lizard and better price of money, and it is cheaper for both. However, it is still able to know about the supersonic R – it can be better fit for your needs. Take a closer look at how Dyson Supersonic Nurl and Dysen Supernic R meet on the basis of testing from me.

Dynon Supernic R and Supernic Nurl: Price

    • Supersonic Nurl List Price: 9 499.99 / £ 399.99 / AU $ 749
    • Supersonic R List Price: 9 569.99 / £ 449.99 / AU $ 799
    • Both premium options; Nerve offers a bit and offers for money

Supersonic Noorl launched in May 2024, with the user version of the Supernic R in April 2025 (the professional version was selling from February 2024). Both are now widely available, nor are they cheap. In fact, they are just about the price hair dryer you can buy.

    The old supersonic nerve is more affordable option – relatively speaking speaking, of course – SUP 569.99 / £ 449.99 / AU $ 799, with a list of 499.99 / £ 399.99 / AU $ 749.

Both premiums look and feel, and are proud of tech and features that you can’t find anywhere else in the market. Of these two, I think the nerve justifies its high price tag a little better than R – I will enter exactly because in design and performance parts.

Dynon Supernic R and Supersonic Noorl: Design and Features

    • Supersonic R is a lightweight and ultra -streamline
    • Distance sensing in Noorl is the protection mode of the skull
    • Both recognize attachments and remember preferences

Noorl looks like a compact barrel, another, older superstar dryer. In this version, Dyson added the skull safety mode. The sensors recognize how close the dryer is to the user’s head, so it can be warm or cool to maintain a permanent temperature on the scalp.

This form means that you can get closer to your head without burning your scalp, and that should mean that the overall heat is less damaged. To indicate what’s happening, the inside of the dryer shines in different colors, cool, kind, kind.

Nurl and R look very different and have different USPS (Image Credit: Future)

R looks very different. For this model, Dyson once again fully re -imagined the hair dryer format, re -designed the internal mechanics so that they could all fit with a diameter of 1.5 inches / 3.8 cm in a thin, R -shaped tube.

It has moved some tech to the plug, which is really very complicated. But hey, the extra bulk on the wall is better than your hand. –

Dynson has moved some mechanics to R’s plug (right), making it becomes more than nervous (left) (Image Credit: Future)

Both dryers have three temperature settings in addition to cool shot, and three air speeds. Nurl contains a bonus of the skull protrint mode, which is missing on the R. The cable on R is long-in my brain, a great benefit, because there is nothing worse than a bone on the hair device.

Both dryers have a limit to compatible attachments. These are the same as my Nurl Review Samples have come with (Image Credit: Future)

When it comes to styling attachments, Dyson is one of the best brands. There is a wide range of attachments compatible for both Nurl and R, and they also meet different types of hair (for example, along with standard defuse and concentration, you will find a wide comb for the hair hair, and a flyway tumor for freez).

The exact attachments that are included depend on where you live and which bundles you buy, so I will not go too much. What I will highlight is that in both cases, the dryer will recognize what is trimmed. The first time you attach a device, the dryer will adjust the recommended temperature and air speed, and after that, it will return to your last used settings for each one.

Dynon Supernic R and Supersonic Noor: Performance

    • Both powerful, effective dryer
    • R is very comfortable to use and directly easy
    • Nurl’s skull safety mode can be a game changer for hair health

Really important thing is: How do Dyson Supersonic R and Supersonic nerve perform in the real world? If you are looking for a powerful, effective dryer, you will not be disappointed. Officially, R is a more witage while the nerve offers a sharp air flow, but in practice, I struggled to find a difference in strength – both dried my hair so quickly.

Where the rise is in the edge of the r. Don’t think of me wrong; Nurl is comfortable enough to use and directly use – that was the reason that the design became so famous in the first place. But Ra’s pipe -like design usually makes it incredibly easy to direct air flow, even in difficult places. (In the back of my head never seems to be better than I was reviewing my supersonic R.)

The supersonic R is comfortable in holding hands and lights to use for a long time. You can really tell that this design was originally made for hair dressers, who may have been drying up several heads every day.

However, where the professional inauguration of R has not translated so well into the use of users. These are small and slightly difficult to adjust to the fly. They certainly feel that they are designed for someone who has a clear view of the dryer while using it on someone else’s head.

On the contrary, it is easy to find and adjust nerve control. The air speed and temperature control, and the skull safety mode button is placed around the edge of the barrel’s barrel, and despite being compact, it is easy to find and suppress.

So what about the USP of the nerve: How to protect the skull? I was really impressed. He worked reliably during my thorough test, and the strength of the air flow meant my hair was still dry and quickly dry, though I was using less heat.

Although I usually default to the maximum temperature and maximum strength mode when I dry up my hair, I found myself sticking to the scalp protection mode by testing Nurl. I am sure my hair will thank me in a long time. It is a shame that it is not included on the R.

All attachments are easily removed and closed and work well in use (Image Credit: Future)

In the case of attachments, there is nothing more. Although R’s options look slightly different from the nerve, the choice is almost identical. An exception is spreading-Hollywood hair users want to note the fact that Nurl Dyson’s new, two parts wave+is compatible with the curl defoser. R I have a more traditional, All -in -one.

With both models, the attachments are easily walking and closing and feeling safe in use, and there are cold parts to help you avoid burning fingers. When it comes to smooth the styling process, the sensor -based memory is a great addition.
