    Google last week announced a number of new features for its messages app, which includes the ability to snare notifications and delete text messages for everyone in RCS chats. These capabilities are now running extensively for stable consumers. As the names say, the former lets you snap notifications for incoming messages. Meanwhile, the latter delete messages for everyone involved in the chat, which is like the option on the WhatsApp. However, people on the old version of the Google Messages app can still see the deleted text.

    As part of the Google Messages Update for June 2025, Tech Dev has also announced personalization for RCS Group Chats, where users can set up a custom icon and a unique name for it.
