It’s been a minute when we last heard about Lenovo’s rollable laptop, but the wait (almost) is over. Think Book Plus General 6 Rollable, the first of its kind with a vertical expansion screen, is now the official price and release date.
This sales start from $ 3,499 on June 19. Yes, this is a standing price – but you are getting anything that has never happened before.
This laptop takes the entire portability vs. productive struggle and turns it over its head. Made in collaboration with Intel, the Think Book Plus Gen 6 comes with a screen that can increase in size – from 14 inches to 16.7 inches – with a simple hand gesture or button press.
When it is in compact mode, you get a smart 14-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 400 nuts brightness, full DCI-P3 color coverage and 16:10 aspect ratio.
But once you finish it, the same screen extends to 16.7 inches and shifts to a portrait style view, which gives you more vertical real estate. Whether you want a massive workplace or two stacked Windows, it is designed to adapt your workflow.
Not just a cool trick – it was a real engineering challenge
Thinkbook Plus General 6 is the result of Intel-Linovo engineering.
According to Intel, two years of development in the construction of this item and solves many problems. A major obstacle? Fitting in two small motors that strengthens the rolling screen. These motors displaced other important components – such as circuit boards and battery – which had to be re -designed from the ground. The rollable screen itself uses OLED materials like plastic, as you find on foldable smartphones. Lenovo says it was tested to avoid 30,000 lids open/closed/closures and 20,000 screen rolls, so this is not just a piece of delicate concept.
And there were many obstacles behind the scenes to know.

We engineered all thermal technology and power control within the Intel Core Ultra System on Chip Animated Thermal Tuning Tool, or DTT. We worked with Lenovo to apply these technologies to control the thermal and handle power. After that, in any industry first, we customized Intel Graphics Driver Software to create a highly smooth screen transfer.

This laptop is clearly not for everyone-but the right crowd is it, it can be a game changer. Lenovo and Intel say it was built for anyone tired of taking the road warriors and any other monitor.
And here are the real issues of use. Spreadsheet 39 lines are revealed to 66 when displaying 39 lines of data. Coder code lines get more vertical space. And if you are doing multi -task on the go, two 16: 9 Windows portraits are more efficient than the turnover between tabs decorated in the format. Even apps like Instagram and Techtok look better in long views.
Strengthening all this innovation is Intel Corps Ultra 7 processor, supported by 32GB of RAM and 1 TBSD. Microsoft Co-Co-+ Support Built-in, as well as Lenovo’s own Assistant, now operates on the device using local major language models-so you can stay fruitful even when you are offline.
In terms of contact, you get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi -Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The battery is 66 WHR, which offers a good run time, though do not expect the battery all day with the screen.
