Google is developing a new way to communicate with mobile, and it is designed to feel more like a conversation than a traditional inquiry. This feature is called Search Live, and is now available as part of the experimental AI mode within the Google app for iOS and Android.
The search live lives live, Google’s voice -based chat features, which allows to be natural, backwards. Similarly, search live users allow their questions to speak out loud and continue conversation with follow -up promotions, without any interaction to be resumed or restart.
To use it, you easily open the Google app, tap the new direct icon, and start talking. According to Google, the purpose of this setup is for situations where you are doing multi -task or need a more hands -free view. For example, you can ask for instructions, follow a question about a restaurant nearby, and then ask for hours – all in one conversation.
The purpose of the search live is also to balance sound interaction with helpful visual content. When you talk to the AI, you will see links and consequences on the screen, which gives you the option to look deeply across the web or tap the sources.
At present, this feature is limited to the US users who have chosen AI mode experience through Google Labs. This is a part of Google’s wider pressure in which the Litts to further discuss and enable the search, using its AI capabilities can be gauged from what users will need next.
Although Gemini is the most common goal of Google’s chatboat, the search live focuses especially on sound -based search and web results. This is not an alternative as we know, but it includes a new layer that can be more intuitive in certain scenarios, especially on walking, driving or cooking.
There is no word yet when this feature will spread to more consumers globally. But its initial arrival in the United States shows that Google is testing water so that people engage with search when the sound becomes the main method of mutual interaction.
Whether this approach lasts on a long period of time, it depends on the user’s impression and how well it integrates the daily routine. I, for one, feel that it can be very helpful in my daily search – because I do most of it from the Google Homepage or Search Bar. However, for now, this is another sign that Google is serious about how we interact with AI, even in the most familiar places like search.
