    • Google is testing a new swipe indicator inside the Gemini app that allows a fast and more direct way to start Gemini’s direct experience.
    • The gesture allows you to swipe left or right to switch between standard text -based chat and direct, conversation interface.
    • This feature is appearing for a limited number of users as part of a wide range of UI updates, which also includes navigation drawers to the app.

Google’s Gemini Chat Boat can communicate much more deeply than its old Google Assistant Service, but the default method of accessing it may feel slow. Thankfully, Google offers another way to talk to Gemini, called Gemini Live, which allows you to share your phone’s video feed or screen while chatting. The main problem with Gemini live, however, is that it is always away from a faucet-you have to hit the mobile app, put the power button longer pressing, or swipe from the corner.

Soon, you will not need this extra tap. Some users are reporting a new way to launch Gemini directly inside the app: regularly swipe left or right to switch between regular text -based chats and direct experience. Here is a video of this new app swipe indicator, Courtesy of Tipster Lord Reset X:

This new gesture is being created for a wider UI update as well as very few users who bring the Gemini Mobile app to the web version. In the past 24 hours, many users have reported a new navigation drawer to the left of the app. On the phone, you can increase it by tapping a new Hamburger menu icon, displaying your customs gems and recent chat history in a panel that controls the main chat window. On bullets and book -style foldables, the navigation drawers are increased by default to benefit from their big screens.

Although we have so far seen a swipe indicator report, our resident AP’s tear expert, assembly, saw it in the app a few months ago in the app. It is safe to say that Google is at least considering this feature, though there is no guarantee of a wider roll out. Currently, there is no clear visual indicator for swipe indicators, which can limit its discovery and if it is associated with this feature, Google can address.
