While Watchos 26 was introduced in WWDC 2025 with a fresh look and new features, some additions were not mentioned. Since more developers first install beta and go to a lot of documents to develop new app experiences around it, this process always reveals some new features. The Apple Watch Control Center feature, the side button (below the digital crown) is accessible, only shows a fixed number of options like Wi -Fi, silent mode, don’t worry and some others. It is converted with Wachos 26, which will bring customs control to the control center, just as it works on the iPhone.
As seen by the Macmouris, Apple’s existing Watchts is adding 26 developer to Beta Customs Control as it works on the iPhone or the iPad. Although Apple mentioned it in a press release, we are just seeing how it will work. Wachos 26 Beta offers a new custom control API developers offers to include, make and prepare their custom buttons or toggles for the control center, which has so far been a very tough interface with preset options.
The addition of customs controls will allow consumers to edit their control panel interface as they like. It will also allow Apple to assign customs control to ultra -users. Developers can also push specific customs control related to their app on the smart stack, which will make them more competent and useful and useful.
According to the developer page, the interface looks very similar to the old (with adding a liquid glass theme) but now it will have some new control options or buttons that will be shown in customization. Controls will have to build using the widget kit and mainly allow users to open their app controls without opening their apps or opening their apps on the iPhone, such as a specific view or page.
Apple provides a large number of customization for developers here to add tints and labels to a custom symbol, buttons in the control center and titles and labels in the smart stack widget.
Even users can add custom control from their iPhone without need to install the watch OS app on their watch from their iPhone in their Apple Watch. However, it only works if the developer/service app is installed on their iPhone. It also allows users to save their Apple Watch’s local storage. Since the app is not saved on the Apple Watch, this action will be done through the iPhone app.
Apple’s Watchos 26 also brings a number of new features announced in WWDC 2025, which you can read here.
