It seems that Apple is making progress on a major update of its Siri software that will enhance its capabilities and add more AI features. According to a report by Mark Gorman of Bloomberg, the delay in delaying Siri is now the Spring 2026’s internal release window.
Updated, which can reach the iOS version 26.4, will have a good talk on the features and updates offered for the first time in the WWDC of 2024. Since then, Siri’s updates, which were considered to include many Apple intelligence of the company, have failed to put into practice, and the company’s AI efforts have not yet stopped tech enthusiasts.
New capabilities for Siri will allow it to gain more control over apps on various devices. But according to the Bloomberg report, Siri’s internal development has been suffering from chaos and there is no possibility of issuing a major update in the spring. One scenario is that a preview version will be available at this time which will have a complete release set for the iPhone rollout of 2026 at the end of the year.
Fortunately for Apple, AI is currently not currently making heavy factories in buying people’s phones. The CNET survey published this week said that only 11 % of people have been driven to upgrade AI due to the features of AI.
The Apple representative did not immediately return the application for the update information. Apple Siri’s next updates’ statements have been vague, just promises that it will be “available” in the coming year.
Amazon has also struggled with Alexa, which is available on the devices of Amazon and other companies, its personal assistant software. Its Alexa product has lost money and the company is in the process of rolling Alexa Plus, which includes new AI-driving features and will require fees for people who do not have Amazon prime. This rollout has also been delayed.
