A few weeks ago, we took a look at CMF buds 2 Plus, a premium model in any new budget lineup of audio products. Today, we are reviewing the buds 2, which is the middle model in the buds 2 series.
The buds come on 2 $ 59/₤ 39 or only in INR 2,699. Price L you, you get the most features of the Plus model but some with some cutbacks on the board. You get a little smaller driver, slightly low -ranked ANC, two hours of battery life, and LDAC. In this review, we will find out if it is able to save some money and get this model or reduce the difference of the Plus model.
Design
The design of CMF Key 2 is close to the buds 2 Plus. Both have the same dimensions for their own matters, but on the issue of Kery 2 on the issue of Key 2, it is a bit more plastics to finish on the issue of buds 2 than the Soft Touch Plastic.
The buds 2 also find a clear plastic rotating dial on the lid compared to the aluminum dial found on the plus. However, the rotation is once again purely the syllable syllable unless you choose to use it as a fat spinner.
Airbuds are practically the same in design and dimensions. This means that they are still quite small and light with a comfortable fit, but also that they bring the same cheap feeling from the Plus model.
The low price of buds 2 makes it slightly lower, but there are very good tips in the same price OnePlus Nord Key 3 Pro. Not only do these points feel good but they do not provide proper fit. Ear indicators simply slip into your ears and outside, with no rubbing and you do not find a satisfactory seal with them.
Software
CMF buds 2 work with the same X -app, such as the buds 2 Plus and anything else. Most of the features are the same between 2 models of both buds, so I will focus only on differences here.
There are only three changes here compared to everything described in the review 2. Key 2 has a derck opto feature, which is the default EQ preset for these airbodes. According to the support page, the Opto “uses modern measurement correction technology to eliminate any non -intentions or sound colors, and maximizes the sound performance of the buds”. Additional details regarding the internal works of this feature were not met at the time of writing.
Nothing x apps
Keys 2 also lack the personal sound feature found on the Plus model, which plays a series of tons to customize your hearing sound. I have already described my concerns with this feature in the Plus Review and its absence here is not a major loss.
Audio settings
The final difference is LDAC deficiency, which means that there is nothing to switch between the AAC and the LDAC. In addition, the software experience is the same on both the better and worse.
Efficiency
Audio Quality
Key 2 includes an 11 mm pmi (polymetic lameide) driver compared to the 12 mm LCP driver found on the Plus model. As mentioned earlier, there is no LDAC and thus there is no high -reserve audio support. Instead, you get Derek Tund audio, which can be customized using EQ.
The default audio tuning is not at a distance of a million miles on two models, but there are some notable differences with the unexpected result.
The sound of the buds 2 is a bit warm and basir than the buds. Here is the mid -bass heft above the strong lowercase. At the other end, the buds 2 Plus models lack some high brightness so the sound is not bright as a whole.
The biggest difference was the middle limit. Keeps 2 have amazingly complete physical medium range, which strengthens sounds and better balances in mix. In comparison, the calm sounds in addition to the 2 of the buds, along with a worse timber.
The total sound of the buds 2 is still a bit boss forward and it can be tired on some tracks with a strong bass line. If you want to hear a lot of different genders, this is not the most flexible sound. But most people will use them to listen to famous populations like pop, and their fy, they do exactly. In fact, I prefer the overall tuning of the buds 2 of the buds 2 Plus for music.
Speaking of tuning, the buds offer numerous EQ options, except for the default directly optical format. However, converting to other preset sets causes a voice to hear and you hear it again when you go back to the Opto Pressate. The only exception is Customs Pracet.
It is likely that the default opto and customs precision use different audio processing than the rest of the preset. Rather, it seems that other predictions do not use too much processing. Other EQ Presses are more crowded with a small sound stage than the filler and the more spacious sound optical preset. This was not the case with the Plus Model, where all the Praisits got the same treatment.
This means that if you use other paracets, even if you prefer their tuning, you don’t get the same experience as the Opto preset. Whenever you switch back and forth between the Opto/Customs Perception and other preset, there is a more disturbing half -second silence, with which the volume increases sharply before the sound comes down.
The good thing is that the custom preset opto is based on the processing processing, so you can customize the sound while the full processing for the Opto preset is available. The bad thing is that anything strange circular 3 band EQ is not as horrible as it has always been.
Microphone
Like the Plus model, the microphone has good performance in the buds 2. The sounds are clear and when there is some models because the sound is now calm and then it is not very noticeable or disturbing.
Noise cancellation
The noise cancellation performance in the buds 2 is decent. You get good pressure in the low frequency but some enter the sound of high frequency, thank you for the cheap tips of the ear that make an incomplete seal. Nevertheless, for most of the use of things like public transport, ANC performance is quite good.
Unfortunately, transparency performance was not very good. The sound is natural but calm and sometimes you can’t even tell whether the mood is active. This means that if you have something to play, then it is going to drown the intersection of speakers, and defeat the purpose of the mood.
Battery life
Key 2 promises a 13.5 -hour battery life during continuous playback with an ANC disability. In my test, I got 13 hours and 17 minutes, which is very impressive.
After 10 minutes of charge, I claim nothing to play 4 hours and I am able to get 4 hours and 25 minutes, which is also impressive.
Conclusion
The buds are very close to the 2 Pluses of 2 buds that we had previously reviewed and I would request you to read this review as it goes in a lot of detail.
I was expecting that the end of the end of the buds 2 would only achieve the pulse model, which would consider how small the price difference was. However, it ended on the other route and I no longer see much of its point of choosing the model.
The buds 2 plus models are the heirs of most powers, including relief, battery life, microphone performance, and respectable ANC. Both also have clean -visible software and hardware design. However, the buds 2 have only improved the slightest, which makes them enjoying more and again proves that having a better codax does not improve automatically.
Finally, CMF buds come out of 2 and are the best contenders for wireless airbids in this price range.
