The A series of Pixel phones is the place where Google begins its middle range. They end up as some of the best Android phones you receive. Although the series has been rightly appreciated to pack special features from incredible pixels in cheap hardware, a far more disturbing trend has recently caused the line: high heat batteries that literally melts on the phone. Recently, Ariel, a Android Authority Readers reached us with pictures of Google Pixel 6A, which were completely destroyed in a similar incident.
Like other similar situations, Ariel’s Pixel was charging with a 6A non -aerial charger when he warned more heat. This happened when she was sleeping at 4:00 in the morning, which awakened her. However, the sound of this warning didn’t give him much time, because Ariel immediately. Later a poping noise was heard and burning. Running over the phone, he found that it was too late, as the case of the device was melted in his clothes, the display was separated from the chassis, and the internal ingredients were all destroyed.

Ariel bought the phone in 2023 via Google FI. Once he made sure that the device would not burn his house, he contacted FI support to explain the situation. The email states that Ariel will receive Google Pixel 8A as an alternative. It is interesting that Pixel 9A is a new and better device. For someone whose phone literally melted while sleeping, you think Google will provide the latest and largest in the series- or even a Pixel 9 Pro.
Regardless of, we are happy that Ariel and his family are safe and his house did not suffer any significant damage. However, based on this event and the previous similar things, it is becoming clear that if you have Pixel 6A, you should think about upgrading soon instead. Similarly, we are surprised that Google has not already remembered, considering the high potential of such an event, someone’s life or property has been severely damaged.
