WWDC 2025 is going to be a huge deal for Apple users. Not only are we expect that we will see a huge design for iOS 19/ (or iOS 26), but it is also a year marked when Apple joined AI and announced Apple Intelligence.

Of course, Apple Intelligence has not really been a tremendous success that Apple probably hoped. This has not been a catastrophe, but WWDC 2024 came out something that Apple usually tries to avoid doing. About a year later, many promised Siri features are still missing.

Considering that Apple was already late in the party with the AI, and facing its problems, the pressure on the WWDC 2025 is underway. This is Mac or Brake, and if Apple does not diminish the biggest concerns about Apple Intelligence, it is a danger because Siri did 10 years ago.

The biggest problem with Apple Intelligence is that Apple realized that AI would be a much bigger thing than everyone else. Apple was not ignoring AI, but before the popularity of Chattagpat exploded, the company was not so interested that AI was not interested in making large quantities of money – especially no clear final purpose.

According to a Bloomberg report, after the arrival of the Chattigpat, it did not happen that Apple’s software chief Craig Federgie used a Generative AI for itself and realized how useful the tool generative AI could be. But by then Apple was seriously behind its rivals, and would not be able to catch it easily.

This is apparently a place where important issues with Siri are facing, as Apple tried to capture the LLM -driven Siri by competing on the old sound assistant. This resulted not only the delay, but also the reason is not that it apparently caused many problems that have been described as “hack-one-a-a-maile”.

They all inevitably caused even more trouble with Apple Intelligence’s controversial rollout. Not because the features that were released were bad, though the news summarizes that have been very troubled in keeping things around.

Apple intelligence did not land itself until the iOS 18 and iPhone 16 reached the iOS 18.1 at the end of October. iOS 18.2 was the place where the real improvement came, and it did not reach the end of December. IOS 18.3 and 18.4 2025 landed in the first few months, but by then the number of useful new features fell dramatically.

The problem was not the case of Apple Intelligence, though, and more than how Apple handled it. In straight words, it seemed that Apple did not want to look behind its rivals, then exceeded the limit of what it could do.

WWDC needs to set a stage for the future of Apple Intelligence

The WWD is the place where Apple tells us what is happening to all its software, and it will be a mistake that Apple Intelligence should not pay attention to it. This is the first anniversary of its disclosure, and despite all the problems, Apple cannot be seen ignoring it.

I am not saying that the WBC BLDC needs to have all the Apple Intelligence Show. Google I/O did so, and handling any ordinary person was too much AI. But that does not mean that Apple can brush AI along the way and treat it as Siri has been treated for years.

If that happens, Apple is also throwing a towel on the AI race. We all know that the company is behind the choice of Google and Open, but that does not mean that the company’s AI ambitions are dead. There is plenty of time to improve, and possibly its grip.

In a perfect situation, Apple admitted that it dropped the ball with Apple Intelligence, and promised to move forward better. I don’t see that. Apple is not known to acknowledge its mistakes with happiness.

But I don’t even see that Apple also spends a lot of time on AI. Not just because it has a group of main design restoration so that we can be acquired in an important note that can only be long. But the reason is that I am sure that Apple does not want to take the risk of making mistakes like last year. There is no doubt that we will be listening to a lot of impressive sugars about Apple Intelligence and its adoption, and may be revealed to some different small features that can be on the way.

And that should be enough. AI is not the focus of this year’s release that we have heard, and should not dominate the show. But it still needs attention and improvement, so it can grow.

    Down line

Apple has already made a lot of mistakes with AI, when it is ready to finish the start of the features from jumping on the bandwagen. Therefore, it is important that the company get into the gear, and develop an appropriate strategy for future updates and AI features.

The WBBBC is going to be an initial point for all of them, and the focus that Apple’s intelligence is on the show will lay the foundation for the next few years of the Apple AI rollout. And when we can’t expect that Apple won’t be expected to eliminate another wave of announcements like Apple we saw last year, but it needs to avoid completely neglecting the subject.

Otherwise, if AI is only going to the side due to some initial obstacles, then Apple may not have bothered to invest in the first place in it.
