After seeing its fixed lens X100 VI camera the number of Stratosopheric sales, Fijfel decided to create a big and bedside version that could be against the full frame Q3 of Lika. The result is 4,899 GFX100rF, the first 100 megapixel medium format compact camera.
The GFX100rf features some novels, such as the crop dial that allows you to choose aspects from vertical 3: 4 to a panoramic 65:24. It can digitally zoom through a dedicated toggle and offers all the social media friendly benefits of X100 VI, including film imitation. You can even shoot medium format 4K video.
However, the GFX100rf has some flaws. While Likika’s Q3 has a sharp 28 mm F/1.7 lens and optical stability, there is a 35 mm lens (equivalent to 28 mm) F4 and has a reduction in light light, which causes the camera to discomfort in light. I have just used the camera for about two weeks and enjoyed it, but given the high costs and prices, it’s certainly not for everyone.

GFX100rf is the world’s first 100MP medium format compact camera. It offers incredible image quality and flexibility but is not very good in low light, and high cost makes it a niche product.

Design and handling
Although it is the smallest medium format camera in Fijmal, the GFX100rF is still a heavy unit in 735 grams. It is higher than many full frame mirror -lace cameras and is around the same weight Q3. Control Layout is similar to X100 VI, with front and rear control dials, with exhibition compensation, shutter speed and ISO controls in the upper part.
What is the aspect ratio dial that offers methods for 4: 3, 3: 2, 16: 9: 6, 3: 4, 1: 1, 7: 6, 5: 4 and 65:24 (offers tribute to the latter TX-1 panoramic camera of the latter). The GFX100rF also has a toggle -up front to select 28 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm and 63 mm (full frame equivalent) zoom level. They gradually lose resolution due to crops, from 100 MP to 28 mm to 63 mm to 20 MP. The sensor shrinks as the size of the sensor is shrinking.
The back 2.1 million dot, the 3.15 -inch display is just bent up and down, but it is fine for the camera’s primary street photo roll. Although sharp and detailed, 5.76 million-dot electronic view Finder, unfortunately lacks the X100 VI signature hybrid display that allows you to change between optical and electronic ideas. However, this aspect offers three ways to support the proportion of dial and simplify the mixture. One shows only the selected crop, the other shows the whole scene with a box around the crop, and the third shows everything outside the crop 50 % blurred.

GFX100rf has 820 shots on battery life charge or 4K 30 FPS video shooting with 820 shots for 100 minutes of video shooting. For me, its use was almost two days in use, which I have better than every other (non -DSLR) camera I have experienced. The camera also includes the dual UHS-II memory card slot Plus Mike, headphones, microhodes and USB-C ports. The latter allows not only data transfer and charging, but also SSD video recording.
Efficiency
The GFX100rF is mainly squeezed into a GFX100s II in a compact body, so the performance is similar to 6 FPS bursting shooting speed. However, each raw file is up to 150MB in size and JPEG is 70MB, so even with these slow pace, you can fill your memory card. Lot Quickly he said, this camera is certainly not designed for sports or forest life, so I didn’t often use bursting shooting.
When shooting single images, auto -focus is reliable, but it is a bit behind to burst. The use of face and eye helps the nail eye attention using AI methods reliably, but it is not as sharp as Sony and Canon system. It also supports tracking animals, birds and vehicles, which helped me capture the sharp images of ducks floating on the Sian River in Paris.

The GFX100rf has both mechanical and silent electronic shutters. However, rolling shutter scales with this sensor in silent mode with rapid moving articles is a major problem. Fortunately, the mechanical shutter eliminates it and is almost unacceptable.
The built -in ND filter can reduce the light to four stops, which makes you shot in the sun, while some maintaining the Bokiya. However, the basic problem is that when not Enough Light minimum F4 aperture is merely inadequate and lack of stability increases the problem when you are at risk of fading images at a slow shutter speed. In dim light you may need to pack a tripod, which is not ideal for a compact camera.
Image standard
Aspect ratio and zoom options on GFX100rf are easy and fun. Some criminals can prefer to shoot 100 MP photos and then harvest the crop in post production later. But GFX100rf allows you to have your cake and eat it too. You can apply all the crops, zooms and film images of your choice and can easily save them as JPEG for sharing. Then, if you need to go back and change something, you also have a raw picture of 100 MP as a backup (though apparently, both shooting will fill your memory card more faster).

FUJIFILM GFX100RF Overview
4: 3 aspect ratio, ISO 1600, 1/200th, shot at F/10
As GFX100s II, GFX100rF is a top actor when it comes to detail and sophistication. The colors are pleasant and raw files maintain a high amount of dynamic range, which allows easily adjustments to the light room. And, of course, the Fijfal film imitation gives you colorful, old memories options – such as a Real SA or dramatically black and white acros – straight out of the camera.
The GFX100rf also provides the beautiful Bokia, which is equal to the F4 Aperture F3, which is the depth of the field for a complete frame camera (but not a light gathering). Like other GFX models, large sensors produce more dramatic images than the entire frame for portraits, scenes or street shots.
As I mentioned, things are separated when the light decreases. No option and no stability below the F4, I relied on high ISOS to enhance the exposure. The GFX100rF is not bad in the area, which has a noise of controlling ISO 8000, but it is not so much considering other factors. For these reasons, the GFX100rF is less versatile.

As long as you have a sharp UHS-II SD card, GFX100rF 4K and wide screen DCI 4K can handle up to 30 FPS with enough high prices, as long as you have a sharp UHS-II SD card. Even with a high speed of data, it can shoot this pro -powers, but these people will need to record the SSD directly through the USB Type C port.
Auto -foxes for video are decent but not incredibly fast, so ideally your articles do not move too much. AI -powered face and eye detection helps people’s attention when filmmaking people, but then, if articles rotate around, they may fail.
The video contains an unrealistic standard and Bokia that can only offer a big sensor. Like the GFX100s II, GFX100rF occupies the video using the full width of the sensor in most ways, although with pixel bining which reduces quality. The fastest video comes with 1.32x crop, but it reduces the benefits of image quality of the larger sensor.
There is one thing in the video on the GFX100rf that is lacking photo side: digital stability. This causes handheld shots to stir, but restricts your ability to move excessive rolling shutter camera faster.
The colors are pleasant and easy to adjust, especially when using the F-Logle or F And of course, Real S, Acquisal and other film imitation are available in video methods to create a straightforward out of the camera.

Fajfolm, 4,899 GFX100rf is a powerful camera that has incredible image standards that are due to low light performance lack. It is also a niche and expensive product that, unlike the famous X100 VI of Fijmil, appeals to a small group of photographers only.
In this place, its main competitor is Likika’s Q3, with 60 MP Phil frame sensors and more, a tag of 6,735. However, Q3 has a very fast 28mm F/1.7 lens, low rolling shutter, a single SD UHS-II card slot and 8K. It also has a Likika brand ketchot, which means that people spend such money.
GFX100rf is fun to use, though, and introduces many innovations such as the proportional dial. Although it can never be a huge market, I think such products move the industry in new directions and create conversations that attract new people to photography. So though I will never buy one, I’m glad the GFX100rF is available for these reasons.
