Android Show: I/O Edition gave us our first look at Android 16, but was apparently absent from quick settings and information panel rumors. However, it seems that the feature is still underway.
At first glance, the option is not available in the release of the current Android 16 Qpr1 beta 1. However, the Android Authority has discovered the feature hidden in the current beta code of conduct during the AP’s tear.
According to the report, the code wires found in beta files suggest that Google plans to add a new “notifications and instant settings” option. This increase will allow users to change the panel design from the current perspective, called “classic”, in the spiral panel design, called “separate”.

Classic design allows users to easily swipe down from somewhere in the upper part of the screen to view quick settings and notifications. However, users for a separate panel need to swipe down from the upper right side of the screen to access quick settings, and from the top left to access notifications.
This is not the first we have seen Android trying it, as well as the first year, with spiral notifications appeared in Android 15 son. When the OS launched, the change was left, only to re -emerge in the early Android 16 beta. However, this change was not highlighted after the Android show and the announcement of the new content 3, many people thought it had been removed again.

Although this code line indicates that this is not a completely dealing, it may be a bit alert that the devices have access to the new notification/quick settings. The Android Authority received a menu foot note that only appears on foldable phones like the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which states that the joint option is only available on the external display. This, theory, may mean that separate design is only available on large internal screens of foldable phones, but there is no clear indication in any way.
Right now, there are still a large number of unknown people about this feature, including when it will be launched. It is possible to launch as part of Android 16 public release, which is expected to be exhibited in June. As an alternative, it can present as a part of the post -updiction of Android 16, which is probably more likely to consider its hidden current status.
However, considering negative feelings about the option, we want to hear your thoughts. Will you turn into a separate option, or will you stay on the shared screen?
