When Apple opened its WBC 2025 developers conference in a couple of weeks, we expect all the software interfaces to be examined that is capable of wearing their phones, computers, tablets and wearing. And this can’t be just the form of a software that is changing.
Along with aesthetic changes, Apple will allegedly re -nominate many of its operating systems, to try to keep a permanent name in its lineup.
It comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman, who is reporting that Apple wants to go to the year -based names. This means that the iPhone software update we were expecting will instead be called iOS 19.

The name changes will be a more united approach to Apple’s software interface. The code -name Solarium, refresh, is expected to introduce more Parbasi panels and round icons by taking their gestures from Visionos on Apple’s Vision Pro Headset.
The idea behind a shared look is to provide more united experience in various apparatus of Apple. And the same thinking apparently applies to the software.
Currently, there are different version numbers of different OSES – iOS 18, MacOS 15 and Wachos 12, to tell some names. Under the new system, you will not need to remember which OS version number is at a particular OS – you have to refer to the year now.
The potential Reberind is a similar move in 2020 reminds the rival Samsung when it converts the Galaxy S -line to the launch of the Galaxy S20 series into a convention of the year. Last year’s devices were the 10th generation of Galaxy S10, the Galaxy S phones.
However, the difference here is that Apple is using the launch next year instead of the year. Despite the launch of its new operating system in September of the iPhone 17 release, they will be named for 2026, similar car companies label the latest repetition of their vehicles, which are also launched in the fall.
Gorman has a good track record of Apple’s progress, so we are inclined to believe that this will happen in a few weeks. He said, Apple has refused to comment on the name change, and the project is still underway.
We will learn more about Solarium and Rebranded OS, starting June 9, when Apple has set WWDC to 2025. It should be one of the most important WWDCs in a decade.
