Naxar Beam 2 Money Dash Cam: Two -minute Review

I tested the original Naxar Beam dash Cam about three years ago, but I think he did everything that I wanted to do at that time. Since then matters have moved forward, though, and for the beam 2, mini -nexar has tweeted the design and features to stay there with the best dash cams.

In fact, none of the latest crop of the beam model is more similar to the original avatar. Nixar Beam 2 mini is the choice of these products. Here are the variations of the beam 2 (road) and the beam 2 road and cabin model, as well as an optional rair view camera.

There are other chickens, and they can be willing to spend more on their windshields for a befir array of space and features. Naxar Beam 2 Money is just above my street, especially when I need to fix it on the small screen of my sports car. I am looking for a compact, which was an important part of the appeal with the first edition.

However, the Naxar Beam 2 mini is not as dunk as much as I expected, 6.86 x 6.49 x 3.83 inches / 17.4 x 16.5 x 9.7cm. It also feels heavy, which weighs 1.74lbs / 0.8kg, but it is not a bad thing, as it helps to make the package feel like a standard purchase. Perhaps some extra weight comes from internal storage, as the microSD media card slot is not available on this model.

This model includes landscape -based physical design, which has a 160 degree of field of view lens that can be replaced to get a road scene according to any kind of vehicle. It is connected to the windshield in standard fashion, using a self -adhesive pad that sticks to the base of the camera unit.

The Naxar Beam 2 is available with 2 mini -4GLTE connectivity, which means it can provide ‘always on’ performance, including a remote video live streaming. There is 1080p resolution and internal storage up to 256GB, though it is noted that there is no external microSD storage. It has GPS tracking, a parking mode that has real time alerts Plus 2.4/5GHz Wi-FI, Bluetooth and comes with an ODBII pass via connector cable instead of 12V plugs for electricity.

The Naxar offers beam 2 mini with three different storage options: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, which offers recording storage hours of 30 hours, 62 hours and 130 hours respectively. The internal storage can work harmoniously with the unlimited cloud storage option of Naxar, as well as the option of investing in the ongoing LTE Protection Plan, which increases this model’s appeal to only 9.99 (about £ 8) per month.

Due to its basic ‘always’ functionality, Naxar Beam 2 is ideally suitable for mini people who want to make sure they can place tabs on their car from anywhere and at any time. The Naxar app helps here, as long as you enable your vehicle to check, until the contact is maintained. However, there are need for permanent contact, such as nears, which can offer power implications and add additional problems during setup.

Performance is quite solid, and the features and functions do what they have to do. With a row of plans to be in accordance with all the budget, the Naxar has tried to make the purchase of beam 2 as much as possible. Although there are cheap and cheerful models, which offers maximum plug and play simplicity, which makes the Naxal Beam 2 semen feel a bit quirky for some requirements.

Naxar Beam 2 Money Dash Cam: Price and Availability

    • Price starts at $ 149.95 / £ 113
    • There are three variations of storage capacity: 64 GB, 128 GB and 256GB

Naxar Beam 2 mini is available in three storage variations. The price of the base level edition is currently 9 149.95 / £ 113 (below 199.95) and has 64 GB capacity. The 128GB model is $ 169.95 / £ 128, while the limit is at the top of the storage at 256GB, which costs. 199.95 / £ 151.

An optional LTE Protection Plan is also available, and it costs 99999 or annually each month. 71.90, which represents a exemption of 40 % at the time of writing. Naxar Beam 2 mini -dash cam: Design

    • Slim line letter box design and no screen
    • ODBII connector is always provided for electricity
    • With internal storage, 64, 128 and 256GB version

Anyone who needs a large number of compact will find the design of the Naxar Beam 2 Money one of its most attractive aspects. It is a landscape based box of tricks, which is very low in the outer part of it, in which either the Fidel or goes wrong. Perhaps the design cannot work for everyone, though the first reason is that there is no previous screen, so everything has to be done through the Naxal app. Second, unless you have the app installed, it is difficult to fix the angle of the lens.

The lens itself is located in front of the unit, and depends on the angle of the windshield in your car, and it can be up or down or down. Although the power cable port is in the upper part of the unit, which means it is easy to remove it during installation. The dashcam can be planted in the usual windshield, either using the first anti -static film sheet and sticking to the adhesive mount, or directly by glass itself. Although there is no suction cup management, there is no removal option in the Mount Design. Again, not for everyone.

Here is a small blue/green indicator light that shines during the setup and lasts while the camera is doing its work. The unit comes from the power supplied ODBII connector setup, which is why this model is good if ‘always on’ setup is required. However, the Naxar Beam 2 mini -dash cam will also work if it is plugged in a large extent through a high -strength USB port, which expands its appeal to some extent, especially if a user does not need permanent monitoring. Although not bothered in search of the card slot, there is not one. My review unit came with 64GB internal storage drive instead.

Naxar Beam 2 mini dash cam: Performance

    • Fiddly Setup
    • Decent icon and audio quality

I have to admit that the initial setup and installation were not as smooth as I expected. Certainly, the power cable method is quite simple, as you know where your ODBII connector is under the dash – it can be difficult to find some cars. Beam 2 mini can be reinforced by a cable running in 12V socket if it is preferred, though it is not provided with a package, which only contains ODBII adapters. Hard wiring is also an option, but you will need to pay the cost of this extra accessories.

The main problem I faced was to connect and confirm the app. It was easy to download, but the list of contribution code to enter my number was not listed according to the alphabet. After that I twigs the alliance lists through the Country Code on the right side of the menu. Even then, with my contribution code and phone number, I couldn’t find the verification text. Surprisingly, immediately after trying it, I also got a couple of spam calls, so I am hoping that it was accidental rather than anything related to the process of setup.

As it turned out, and after contacting Naxar directly, I was told that there is currently a problem with the UK cellphone companies to stop the verification code. It seems that this is a problem related to a country, so our customers hope that this should not be a problem. A note on the Naxar website that it must have stopped to waste me a lot of time to explain.

Another thing that seems to be a potential problem, especially for everyone who wants to use the Nixar Beam 2 mini in the UK, is that it needs a strong mobile signal to work properly. When I left for my first trip, while the camera was doing my initial setup procedure, I received a hearing alert that shows that I get a strong cell phone signal. However, after the reboot, it seemed that things were settled somewhat and the message was closed.

I was just unfortunate, but different dental problems have stained my experience of Naxar Beam 2 dashcam to some extent. However, it is a very decent dash camera, resulting in a positive impression. It’s great to catch the video in a variety of scenes, and the quality of the audio also looks good. Things look a bit less impressive on better details like license plates, but this model is cheap, so some compromise element is inevitable.

Should you buy Naxar Beam 2 mini dash cam?

    If buy it …

    If not buy it …

How did I experience the Naxar Beam 2 mini dash cam

    • I installed dashcam in a test car for a two -week initial period
    • I used it for a wide range of trips in the day and night
    • I attached it to my phone and downloaded the recording to assess their quality

I was sent through Naxar to a loan package of beam 2 mini dashcam, which also provided me with an LTE protection plan for good measure measurement. The camera was installed in a car that I was examining at the time, and the force was used using the setup described in the review. I also installed the Naxar app on the iPhone, which caused me to follow the verification process that had to receive the text to move the phone forward.

After that I tested the beam 2 mini in several days and in various driving conditions, including large highways, along with various roads. I was able to find its abilities in various weather conditions, along with rain days and low light as well as darkness.
