- Numerous reports revealed examples of Google Pixel 6A Catching Fire, often charging with off -brand chargers overnight.
- Battery -related events have caused different models of the A series, which includes swelling in the battery in Pixel 7A and high heat risks in Pixel 4A.
- The release of Pixel 9A was delayed due to an uncontrollable “component problem”. Subsequently, Google issued a phone with the mandatory battery health update that will reduce the battery capacity and charging speed over time to maintain long -term battery health.
- Tears of Pixel 9A have also revealed the excessive adhesive used to secure the battery, making it difficult to remove without damage.
Reddate user Zalevar jointly made his pixel 6A “unmanaged” in the middle of the night. The phone was charging overnight using an off -brand charger, though the user claims that they were using chargers with more than a year. Pixel 6A was in a case at that time.
This is not the first time we have heard about the battery fire at Pixel 6A. In December 2024, the Reddate user Ground 1309 also complained about the grip of his Pixel 6A, charging overnight using off -brand charger, though he did not present any picture for the issue. Last month, another user complained about their Pixel 6A on Google’s Support Forums. The user claims that when the device burst into flames, the device was sitting useless, and in the pictures, we can see an uneven case on the phone, cases that are notorious for not eliminating the heat quickly.
Swelling phone batteries are a dangerous but unfortunately common problem that causes all OEMs of the smartphone. If the swollen battery is wrongly punctured, it will fire. If the phone can also be set on fire due to other battery and charging parts, which is why consumers are advised to keep the chargers and charge cables from leading manufacturers. Off -brand chargers can compromise with you, though the phone OEM is also responsible for developing sufficient security measures inside the phone to prevent any unpleasant incident.
Unfortunately for Google, it looks like a pattern of battery problems on the Pixel A series. The company did not share technical details on the notorious 4A’s notorious battery update. However, we know from the notice of a product safety that the Pixel 4A battery is at risk of high heat, which pose a risk of fire and/or burning to the user.
Also, the new Pixel 9A does not look good. Yatuber Zack, who belongs to Gerridge, picked up a red flag on the Pixel 9A battery, which states how it is safe with a lot of adhesive inside the phone, which makes it extremely difficult to remove and replace it. This is not the great news of the phone’s longevity, because you have damaged the phone during battery changes, or even worse the battery. Unfortunately, the possibility is that you eventually want battery change, as Pixel 9A comes with a new and essential battery health feature that will reduce the battery run time and charging speed over time, to handle its long -term health and performance. Google did not confirm any connection, but the release of Pixel 9A was delayed due to an uncontrollable “component problem”.
We have contacted Google for a statement on the aforementioned battery fire cases of Pixel 6A. We will continue to update you and when we learn more. If you are using the Pixel A Series phone, we recommend that Google be with the branded chargers and charge the cables.
