There’s a lot of turnover in Apple’s senior ranks. Last month, a key iPhone Air designer left. Now Bloomberg is reporting that Alan Dye is leaving — Dye had been vice president of human interface design since 2015.
Dye is moving to Meta to lead a new design studio. According to CEO Tim Cook, Apple is replacing his position with Steve LeMay, who has had a hand in every Apple interface design since 1999.
Now Apple has revealed that Catherine Adams, senior vice president and general counsel, and Lisa Jackson, vice president of environment, policy and social initiatives, will leave the company.
Jackson will retire at the end of January. Adams will head its government affairs organization on an interim basis until he himself retires at the end of 2026. Environmental and social initiatives will continue under the leadership of Sabia Khan (Apple’s Chief Operating Officer).

Jennifer Newsted will take over as Apple’s senior vice president and general counsel on March 1. Newstud was most recently Meta’s chief legal officer, which is quite interesting.
A few days ago, it was announced that John Giannandria is retiring – he was Apple’s SVP for machine learning and AI strategy and will serve as an advisor until he officially retires in the spring of 2026. Amar Subramania has stepped into the role of Vice President of AI.
If you believe the rumors, the biggest departure is yet to come — Tim Cook’s tenure as CEO is coming to an end soon. Apple’s senior VP of hardware engineering, John Terence, is reportedly being eyed as his replacement.
