Earlier this year, I tried out the Hanomi H1 Pro and was really impressed with how well the chair performed. Now, with the H2 Pro, the team at Hanomi has taken the great work of the H1 Pro and upgraded some key features.
First, they increased the number of adjustment points from 16 to 19, adding three more. Second, they reworked their spinal support. Third, they updated and upgraded their armrest system. Fourth, they used slightly different materials, opting for an aluminum alloy frame and breathable mesh that is skin-friendly and comfortable for extreme day use.
Hanomi H2 Pro: Price and Availability
The Hanomi H2 Pro is available from Hanomi’s US site and UK site. It retails for $759 / £759. Towards the end of the purchase, you can add in an optional footrest, free shipping, and a 10-year warranty. I’m also seeing it on sale at online retailers, including Amazon.com and Amazon.com.
Hanomi H2 Pro: Unboxing and first impressions
The Hanomi H2 Pro came in a simple box with clearly labeled parts, and included the necessary tools for assembly. You won’t need any other tools unless you choose to use them. I still like to use my Hoto Electric Screwdriver for furniture construction, but you can use whatever you prefer. Hanomi makes sure you’re ready to go out of the box.
The assembly process took about 25 minutes, with no issues or the need for restarts. Once I had everything assembled, I was able to grab a seat and adjust the ergonomics to fit my body. The mesh feels very strong, but not in a bad way. It feels like it’s not loosening up over time, but instead will provide firm comfort support for a long time to come.
I will say that the lumbar support on this chair is very noticeable. For those who like less support here, this chair might not be your favorite, but if you’re looking for something that can add a layer of support, help you stop slouching, or help with back pain, this might be what you need.
Hanomi H2 Pro: Design and Build Quality
Overall, I found, this chair feels good quality for the money. It has a stable aluminum base, smooth casters, quality mesh upholstery, a nice design, and good mechanics. It keeps the chair moving well without feeling like something will break over time.

Sometimes chairs in this mid-price tier can be an odd mix between budget materials and a premium price, but the Hanomi H2 Pro fits its price well. While it’s not the most expensive nor the most feature-packed, this chair provides all-day ergonomic support, which is what we’re looking for at the end of the day.
Testing the first day, the first few hours of this chair felt firm, I noticed the lumbar support was very noticeable, and I felt very supported. By hour four, I started to realize that the mesh was keeping me cool which was great. However, I do wish the thigh support could extend a bit more for my very long legs (I’m 6’2″). At eight hours in, I was noticing that my head and neck still felt supported and that I didn’t feel any wobble or looseness in the chair.
Now, 60 days later, I still feel the same way. This chair has worked great, and I actually use the folding feature more than I thought.
At first, I thought it was a bit of a gimmick and I was just using it because why not, and I wanted to use the fun feature, but now, as I mentioned a full two months of having this chair in my rotation and being used by my team, I find myself folding the chair and moving it under my standing desk more often when standing up to work.
Instead of pushing it behind me in my office, taking up more space, or pushing it to the side, I now push it directly under my desk where it’s out of the way. Granted, this might not work if you have a small desk, but for medium to large desks, this is a wonderful plus over a chair like this.
Hanomi H2 Pro: The Final Verdict
The Hanomi H2 Pro is a welcome upgrade to an already great chair with the Hanomi H1 Pro. It’s a spine-based, breathable mesh, ring-popping, chair-folding ergonomic addition that offers back for a great bang.
It’s not the most luxurious of chairs, nor does it claim to be. It offers a decent experience for the price, while also throwing in the fact that it can add a flat like party trick that you never knew you wanted to be able to do.
