The focus during Black Friday shopping is mostly on new items — but some old, refurbished gadgets deserve some love, too. Here are some refurbished iPhones (some of them in good enough condition for the refurbished premium label).
The iPhone 15 Pro is a couple of generations old, but it still offers advanced features like LTPO display, USB-C charging, satellite connectivity and UWB. That’s before switching to a high-resolution telephoto and ultra-wide camera, though, both modules are 12MP. On the plus side, the 48MP main has a larger 1/1.28” sensor.
You can also grab the bigger iPhone 15 Pro Max – in addition to the bigger screen (6.7″ vs. 6.1″) and bigger battery (16:01H vs. 12:58h active usage score), there’s also a much longer telephoto lens (5x/120mm vs. 3x/77mm). Check out our detailed iPhone 15 Pro vs 15 Pro Max comparison for more.

You can have a 6.7″ screen for less with the iPhone 15 Plus – note that it’s a 60Hz LTPS display, however, it has a punch-hole instead of a notch like older models. Here’s how the Plus stacks up against the Pro Max.
The iPhone 16E is only a few months old, but refurbished units are already showing up. It has an Apple A18 chipset, which is newer than the A17 Pro inside the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. The single 48MP camera on the back (with a tiny 1/2.55″ sensor) isn’t great, though, as the 16e is relatively small (6.1″ display, 167g), making it a solid option for a second phone.
Moving on, the iPhone 14 Plus also offers a 6.7″ OLED display—however, with a notch. Another downside compared to the 15 Plus is the 12MP main camera (vs. 48MP on the new model). The Lightning port may be the most limited, however, as the world is moving toward USB-C for everything.
If you prefer a smaller phone, there’s also a vanilla iPhone 14. But you can also get the iPhone 13 – it has the same notch screen and the same Apple A15 chipset. Both phones support iOS 26.
