    Samsung is set to revamp its S-series lineup once again next year, introducing the first “Pro” model in its form. The galaxy S26 Pro This move is probably needed by the main competition (Apple and Google) that have “Pro” devices in their lineups, but the possible death of the vanilla entry model still feels a little strange. Even at this early stage (Galaxy S devices typically launch around January to February), we have no idea what we’ll be getting. The galaxy S26 Here’s how it will look and what the specs will be in this new phone. Thank you for your letters on the rumor mill.

    Thanks to the leaked renders from a few days ago, we know what’s what The galaxy S26 Will look like the Pro, and it’s not a huge change. There’s a new camera aisle, which reminds us of the Xperia phones’ bullet-shaped camera bump.

    In comparison, Galaxy S24 It features separate cutouts for the three cameras, and is a classy and clean design. The S24 is also slightly more compact thanks to the smaller screen, and it may be lighter, but we still don’t know its exact weight. The galaxy S26 Prof

    * Rumor

    The building blocks of The galaxy S26 The Pro is expected to have some form of metal and glass, namely aluminum and Gorilla Glass. Galaxy S24 It is equipped with Gorilla Glass 2 on the front and back. We might get some sort of anti-galactic coating, though it’s time to scrap the technology and slap it on a non-Ultra-Galaxy model. We still have no information about its color palette. The galaxy S26 Pros, in addition to the deep blue color we saw on renders. Galaxy S24 Available colors are: Onyx Black, Marble Grey, Cobalt Violet, Amber Yellow, Jade Green, Sandstone Orange, and Sapphire Blue.

    Point out the differences

    In terms of display size and technology, The galaxy S26 The Pro is expected to feature a slightly larger 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, and while we don’t know the exact resolution and pixel density, it’s likely that the new phones will follow in the footsteps of previous models. The brightness figures may be a bit high, but we will have to see and most importantly test the new phone in our lab.

    Speaking of testing, The Galaxy S25 managed to output 1345 nits at 100% APL, which is pretty impressive. The S24 features an FHD+ screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a pixel density of around 416 ppi.

    * Rumor

    Biometrics are expected to remain the same – we expect S26 To sport the same ultrasonic fingerprint scanner found in previous generations. The bezels around the screen don’t look that narrow from the leaked renders, but we need to see the phone in person to make a final judgment on it.

    Performance and software

    Two generations make a big difference
    There’s some good news and some bad news, depending on where you live in the world and whether or not you like the Akinos chipset. The galaxy S26 The new and powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is expected to launch in China and the US with an Exynos 2600 chipset.

    Geekbench scores of the new Qualcomm silicon are already out there, showing speedy performance. The single-core score of the chip is around 3800 points, while the multi-core performance is at an impressive 12400 points.

    In comparison, Galaxy S24 Characteristics of a two-year-old Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (in the US, Canada, and China) and the Aquinos 2400 internationally. The S24’s Qualcomm score is around 2400 points in single-core and around 7000 points in multi-core performance, so we’re talking about a big jump, almost twice as big over the new one. * Rumor

    In terms of RAM, the new model will increase the memory to 16 GB from 8 GB on the S24. The onboard storage configuration is expected to remain the same (although there are some rumors about Samsung dropping the 128GB version).

    gave The galaxy S26 The Pro is expected to launch in late January 2026, with the operating system on board Android 16 topped with Samsung’s Win8. Galaxy S24 Launched with Android 14 and Windows 6 back in 2024, but the phone has been brought Android 16 With recent updates. The S24 still has five years of support left, and The galaxy S26 The Pro is expected to receive full Android versions by 2033.

    Camera

    Ultra Wide Upgrade
    After sticking with the same camera system for the past two generations, Samsung is ready for an update. The galaxy S26 The Pro is expected to bring an all-new ultrawide camera to the table, and it will be a 50MP snapper. Galaxy S24 (And also on S25).

    The main camera will remain mostly the same—it’s a 50MP wide-angle camera with an aperture of F/1.8 and a 1/1.56″ sensor size. Samsung thought about removing the dedicated telephoto, but it looks like the 10MP 3x zoom camera will remain. The galaxy S26 Pro, which is a good thing.

    * Rumor

    Galaxy S24 Scoring a 152 (out of 158) in our comprehensive camera benchmark, the ultrawide score is slightly lower at 20 (out of 26). New ultra wide camera S26 Pros, we expect big things from the new phone, it could challenge past Galaxy Ultra models. But we will need to test it in the lab and also draw some side samples to evaluate the upgrade. Keep being.

    Battery life and charging

    4,300 mAh but no silicon inside
    A slight battery upgrade is coming The galaxy S26 Pro It’s no slouch at just 300 mAh on top of the 4,000 mAh battery that the previous two generations had. We don’t think Samsung is ready to add Silicon Carbon tech to the Galaxy lineup just yet, and while other flagships now offer 7,300mAh batteries ( OnePlus 15), the Galaxy series is left behind.

    Galaxy S24 The battery life managed an estimated 6H 37M, placing it 85th among phones tested in the last 2 years. It’s a disappointing result, and many people find the battery life of vanilla S-series phones a bit overbearing. We have to see if 300 mAh makes any significant difference.

    Charging is expected to remain unchanged, at least based on the information we have at the moment, another disappointment, with the fast wired charging that many phones now sport from the Far East. Galaxy S24 Supports 25W wired charging power and charges its battery from zero to full in 1 hour and 12 minutes.

    The galaxy S26 The Pro is expected to jump on the Qi2 train, offering magnets on its back to help with wireless charging alignment, and we expect a slew of Magsaf-like accessories to debut once the new phone is official.

    Summary

    These two phones are two years apart, but even at this early stage we can clearly see that the upgrade isn’t that much. The latest chipset will make an appearance on it The galaxy S26 Pro, and it will be faster, no doubt, and there will be a new ultrawide camera, with a slightly larger battery. But it seems so.

    Should you upgrade then if you’re still shaky? Galaxy S24? Well, maybe not, as this model has five years to go, and the real-life difference won’t be that big, we reckon. Of course, we need to test The galaxy S26 Pros in our lab and give you all the nervy data before a final verdict, but as it stands now, there aren’t many “pros” to this new phone.
