Oppo’s Find X9 series will launch globally on October 28 in Barcelona, Spain, but we’ve already got our hands on the Find X9 Pro and can share some early impressions with you.
Unboxing the Oppo Find x9 Pro
The handset arrives in a standard retail box, which includes a USB-A to USB-C cable as well as a USB-C adapter as well as a USB-A to USB-C cable for charging and data transfer.

Although it’s not included in the standard retail package, we also got the Hassled Professional Teleconverter Kit for the X9 Pro. A teleconverter extends the telephoto camera’s zoom capabilities by a factor of 3.28. Thus, a 70mm telephoto lens becomes 230mm. This is a neat accessory for photography enthusiasts.
Camera hardware
The X9 Pro currently sits at the top of the lineup, at least until the sought-after X9 Ultra arrives, and is equipped with a reasonably capable camera setup. It’s powered by Hasselblad, and the in-house Lomo Image Engine takes care of computational photography.

On the hardware side, last year’s 50MP telephoto camera has been replaced with a more powerful 200MP zoom camera. It’s a popular sensor that’s been used in other flagship phones over the last couple of generations, and we expect no shortage of great results.

Additionally, the phone now supports 4K video recording at 120fps in compliance with the Dolby Vision HDR standard. And if you’re a pro, you’ll probably appreciate the log recording with ACES, allowing you to do all the editing and color grading yourself.

The Telefono camera also performs better when digitally zoomed to 6x, with the new sensor providing a welcome boost.

Display, chipset and battery
Like the last generation, the FIND X9 Pro also runs on the latest and greatest from MediaTek, which is the 9500 this year. According to Oppo, it draws power from a 7,500 mAh third-generation silicon-carbon battery, which is reportedly enough to last for two days on a single charge.

A 6.78-inch OLED panel sits on the front, surrounded by a razor-thin, symmetrical 1.15mm bezel. The back consists of frosted glass and a flat aluminum frame that holds it all together.

The latest iteration of Chloros 16 ties it all together, boasting a “silky smooth” experience and AI Smart. The new OS also plays well with PCs, Macs and other Android devices, enabling seamless connectivity with the rest of your devices.

The handset comes in two colorways – Silk White and Titanium Charcoal.
Stay tuned for our full review, where we’ll put the X9 Pro through its paces and see how it fares against the competition!
