Nikan announced his first cinema camera, Nicon ZR today. Made from Red in partnership, which was acquired last year, brings ZR Red’s codecs and colorful science into the Nicon Z series.
The Nican ZR uses the same 24.5MP full frame sensor and expat the 7 image processor with the company’s Z Mount from Z6III. This camera can recording a 12 -bit R3D NE RAW Kodak from Red Cameras, recording up to 6k/60p. Log3g10 and Redwidgamoturg Gamet are supported, which should ensure consistency with other red code raw cameras of color matching. There are two base ISO sensitivity: ISO 800 and ISO 6400. The company claims that the camera is capable of 15+ stops of the dynamic range.
Along with R3DN RAW, Nican ZR Nican can record in Apple’s Prosa Rao as well as Nikan ZR Nican. You can preview LUTS from inside the camera so you can see how your footage will come out. There is also a cinema video format, which automatically closes the camera in the form of red cinema, 180 degree shutter angles, and the 24p frame rate in a non -RAW format that wants a red camera format without work.

The Nican ZR supports 32 -bit float audio recording using Bullet In and outdoor microphones. The outer microphone can be connected through a power -powered hotshow or 3.5 mm microphone jack. The camera supports Nokia’s Ozo audio technology, which allows the user to select from five polar pickup points, which includes Front (Super Democrat), Front (all direction), rear and stereo (binner).
The Nican ZR has a large 4-inch display with full DCI-P3 coverage and 1000 nits peak brightness. The display is also fully describing.
In terms of contact, you get the aforementioned microphone as well as a headphone jack. However, there is no XLR input here and just the video out is through a micro HDMI connector instead of a full -sized HDMI that you will be expected on a cinema camera. Storage comes in the form of a CF Express and, strangely, a microSD slot. There is also a USB 3.2 type C connector with Bluetooth and Wi -Fi, but there is no Ethernet.

Other features include 7.5 stops of built -in image stabilization, people, animals, and autovorabs with autofox, weather seal, magnesium alloy chassis, front tail light, and automatic circulation for vertical video. The camera does not have a cooling fan and instead uses the entire body to eliminate heat.
The new ZR will be available in October at the initial price of 00 2200. Extra kits will be available with different bundle lenses.
