In early June, Sony released Experia 1 VII, its latest flagship smartphone, and immediately began receiving many negative feedback from buyers who were experiencing random ribotes, shutdowns, and even the ability to unable the device.
After preventing the sale of phone globally and investigating for a while, the company announced an alternative program in July, under which all buyers will receive a new, fixed unit. The problems were actually a faulty circuit board, and with its schedule, a new unit started to develop. A few days ago we heard that Xperia 1 VII will return to Europe this week, and now the company has announced the same thing for Japan, while outline the steps taken to prevent such something from happening.
Experia 1 VII will return to Japan today on sale. In an official statement in Japanese (see the source below), the company, along with the problem caused by the aforementioned problem, as well as how long it took some consumers to get their alternative units.

Sony has promised to strengthen the quality control system for Xperia products, a new management system behind it that will ensure “verification and diagnosis of the risk -affecting the quality of the manufacturing process”. This new system is already in work for Experia 1 VII alternative units and currently sold. Sony has promised to extend it to all future Xpera devices.
If there are still users who have purchased Xperia 1 VII before July 4, they are eligible to get free alternatives. Sony says he faces severe criticism of the matter and is trying to try his best to provide the products that can regain the confidence of its customers.
