It’s the best time to take a picture of beautiful, colorful things. But as we know, not every camera catchs the same scene at all. Often, the differences are small, but when it comes to colorful science, each brand has its own view that looks like a perfect picture. Despite the years of innovation and brand partnerships, it seems impossible to please everyone. Whether these are the most consolation or more modern issues of Samsung, with the Blend Photo of Pixel 9 Pro, it just goes to show that taking the best picture each time is a dark art.

So, let’s look at today’s camera shoot -out, let’s look at how this year’s best smartphone cameras see the world – not a winner, but out of easy curiosity. To test, I grabbed the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, One Plus 13, and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. If you want, you can follow the full raz photos in this Google Drive folder as well.

Don’t want to miss the best from Android Authority?

Let’s start looking at the important cameras, which are usually our best prerequisite for the quality of the image and the colorful consistency.

The first thing to note is that none of them are widely different in terms of phone quality. Exhibitions, white balance, and even detail levels are reasonably identical, especially when see the full frame image. Nevertheless, when the scenes are talked about, the Pixel 9 Pro XL and One Plus 13 are the most conservatives in terms of color, though the latter penetrates a slightly bright exposure. In comparison, Samsung has mobilized a little more in the first scenario, and the postbox shot is definitely a bit cool than others. Xumi is clearly strange, which has added a lot of saturation to sunflower, but then in the second picture, deep shadows and vice versa are more suppressed – let’s call it a more dynamic approach to color science.

When it comes to bright flowers, these topics remain, only more exaggerated. Pixel 9 Pro XL is certainly the most blended blend in terms of saturation. The galaxy is more colorful, but in terms of exhibition, it is dim. The OnePlus 13 is more bright and more clear than the other two. Although the colors are bright, they are not very sketchy, and it gives the best scenario. The Xiaomi 15 ultra, comparable, on the contrary, is very saturated, very heavy, and has been blown.

Already we have three sets of images with a very different view for color science, but what will happen to some difficult lighting with dark preview and bright background?

Once again, there are some similar pictures, but there are some clear differences as well. Pixel makes its most difficult to ensure a permanent display in the forecast and background, while others are happy to allow excessive excessive emission. The results of OnePlus 13 vary widely: the first picture is not low, while the second is brighter than the competition. Xiaomi and Samsung are quite permanent and are sitting very close together in the exposure. It only goes to show that although all the flagships today offer excellent HDR capabilities, the results can still look different.

When it comes to zooming, it is surprising to match the colorful profiles between the lenses. The phones have to adjust the different capabilities of unique lenses and sensor joints, and then process the raw image to create a similar shape, regardless of what camera you are shooting with. Still, as you can see below, some scenes may look similar in the brands. Only Samsung adds a meaningful level of saturation to the ultra -wide shot.

Some images look very different when using the phone’s zoom capabilities, partly because we are really focusing on individual elements. Despite its seemingly warm and dynamic colors mixed with bright exposure, One Plus 13 closes the grip of how I remember these scenes: a hot sun’s day and bright light through the window. The color of the OnePlus mixes the accuracy with just one indicator, which is a mixture of realism and pop.

Google and the Xiaomi are on the other side. Google is excessively conservative, washing depth and color with two flower shots, while gutter paddle’s deep orange. Xumi is inclined towards high contradictions, which increases depth and mood. The image of the sunflower in terms of description and colors is especially unusual.

This leaves Samsung walking around the three. Its ultra -wide and 2X flower snaps are more saturated, but its 3X and 10x snaps are more neutral. Despite the history of their supervision, modern Samsung flagships are less clear. Sometimes, there is saturated, but for the second time, the colorful science of Samsung can be as conservative as Google – and sometimes even more, with more accurate guitar pedal snaps.

Well, it was interesting – it’s amazing what a little color processing can do. I’m not going to announce a winner here because many colorful sciences come to personal priority, and I honestly like some of these different ways in terms of shot. I am a huge fan of Portrait and Macro Shots’ Moody’s exhibition, while One Plus achieved the exposure with the help of pop and exhibition, as well as in detail.

Google’s conservative point of view also has good qualities, especially if you are after a permanent look, regardless of the light. Even the Samsung is bowing down in a bowed colors where it looks fit it can be good if you want to balance saturation with another conservative palette.

In any case, this leads me to an interesting observation of all the magnificent smartphone cameras this year I have tested this year. We are at another confluence between realistic and better colors, but unlike a decade ago, I think better options are winning. The heavy -handed use of saturation has provided a way to the better color palette, when it comes to detecting the scene and the distribution of objects, introducing more color when it works and removes the throttle easily when it does not. Personally, I think Chinese brands who have contributed with some big names of photography are doing a little better than domestic names in the United States. Of course, even more can we discuss. Maybe another time.
