- The Gameni “Add to the calendar” button in Gmail is now coming to Android and iOS.
- It automatically detects the details of the event in emails and allows you to add a tap to the Google Calendar.
- The feature can handle many events in the same email, but only works in English.
If you use Gmail on the web, you have already seen the offer of Gemini’s “Add to the calendar” button to save you some clicks. Now the same Gemini trick is coming to Gmail on Android and iOS.
As Google describes in its latest workplace update, Gemini can now read on your phone via an email, choosing anything that looks like a calendar event, and in the message the “Add to the calendar” button there can popupup -up. Tap it, and a small panel opens in Gmail to confirm that it has been confirmed in your Google Calendar. This prevents you from changing apps or typing in the details yourself.

This is a step towards what Gemini can already do on mobile. Since May, you will ask him to manually make, modify or delete events. This update includes some additional automation. Gemini is spotting for you, and if there are numerous events in the same email, it will offer them all at the same time.
There are some limits at this stage. It only works for now in English, and this Gmail will not already show the handles automatically, such as a restaurant or flight verification. Also, if you want to invite others, you will still need to add them.
Rollout starts today for both releases and schedule release work space domains, and Google says it can take 15 days to reach each one. It is mostly available to Google AI Pro and Ultra users, in addition to most work space projects.
