Google is introducing a new way to make the presentation more prolonged. Starting from today, the platform allows users to enter full screen mode when watching a presentation or sharing their screen. This option expands the presentation area by maximizing the Met Interface and shrinking the participants’ theory into the sidebar.
The update is slowly moving. For the rapid release of Google Work space domains, the rollout began on July 29, 2025, and it may take more than 15 days to reach all users. For schedule release domains, the rollout starts on August 14, 2025, with full availability within three days.
There are no admin control for this feature. End of the end users, the process is simple – when in an active presentation, click on the “Enter the full screen” option below the screen. This feature works for all Google Workpace users, workplace individual users, and even personal Google accounts.

This change resolves a shared challenge in video calls: balance between joint content and meeting participants. So far, a significant portion of the screen is often used by co -Windows, even when sharing or viewing slides. The new full screen mode focuses firmly on the content that is being presented instead.
Competitively, Google has been catching platforms such as Microsoft teams and zooms, which have long been offered a similar full screen or content -based methods. Teams allow presentations to minimize co -video feeds to prefer joint screens, while zoom as well as and speaker view options allow users to select how much space the presentation gets. For those who switch between the platform for work or education, this update brings Google Mate to the preferences to view these set.
Although the feature is a welcome increase, it is not without limits. Customers who rely heavily by watching the reaction during the presentations will find at least the video feeds less useful. On the other hand, detailed visual or data presenting will probably appreciate the growing space.
That said, Phil Screen Mode looks like a small but meaningful move to meet with more user -friendly, especially teachers, business presentants and remote peers. This shows that Google continues to improve its video conferencing platform to meet user needs and meet the nearby space with competitors.
