Google has shared the release notes for version 3.38 of the Google Home app. The update began earlier this month, and now we know that it focuses on smooth, more reliable camera performance as well as some important bug fixes.
Released on August 4, Google noted that the update improves two under hood for nesting and synchronized Google home cameras. First of all, the app will now report more accurately whether a camera is online or offline, which helps prevent disappointing phantles that some users have seen in the past. Second, Google Home users can expect less delay when directly starting, thanks to better signaling, which shows the frame faster and streaming more reliable.
While the camera stability, previous release, version 3.37, also brought some visible updates to the table. A new feature released with this update in July was the camera tile preview. This preview allows users to quickly identify each camera from the current snapshot without waiting to load the feed directly.
Version 3.37 also focused on numerous defects, including access to top app bar and settings on some Google accounts on the iOS Google Home app, text overlaping and public preview pages, on the iOS, on the iOS, and launching the Google Home app. Along with these reforms, Google fixed the stability stability of the overall load times and smooth user experience.
