Samsung and Motorola Claim are making riots in sale with shell foldable – so why is Google still ignoring the rise?

Google launches its foldable campaign back in 2023 with the original Pixel Fold. Since then, we have the model Pixel 9 and has been integrated into the main lineup of the pixel devices.
Now, just two weeks before the start of the official Pixel 10 series, we are going to get another repetition of Google’s book-style foldable-Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
But there is no pixel flip on the horizon, and with all the commercial success of the Galaxy Z Philip series, someone thinks that Google should have long been to find the marketplace of this market. What’s going on?

There are some reasons here that the pixel can still be a distance of years.

Reason 1: Google is playing the waiting game

Screen repetition was falling on razr photo by CNET

Exactly as the company did with it Pixel foldGoogle Claim is playing the game of “Wait and Watch” before associating with the shell device. The same approach was adopted in the same way Pixel foldAnd by doing so, Google was able to avoid many “underage age diseases”, for example, such as Galaxy Fold and Motorola Razr.

Climp Shell Foldable also had a fair part of problems with stability, occupation mechanism, cover screen, and software correction, so Google is learning from others’ mistakes before going all sides and launching a pixel flip.

Reason 2: Pay attention to Pixel 10 Pro Fold

Pixel Fool Line -up has been successful enough

After committing pill style foldable with origin Pixel foldThe Google Foldable Market is focusing on a lot of resources on the project, trying to complete this first effort hardware and software.

From the beginning, a great investment is needed not only in the money but also in engineering brain power to produce Klim Shell Phone.

Reason 3: Competition. Samsung and Motorola are hitting it on the scene

The Galaxy Z Philip series has been quite successful for the past two generations. According to Bloomberg, the Galaxy Z Philip 7 is improving its predecessor, which has increased the total pre -orders by more than 25 %.
On the other hand, Motorola received a lot of market share with the RazR series last year. Motorola saw a 58 % increase in European foldable sales between the Razr 50 series driven by Q1 2024 and Q1 2025, and according to a report by the IDC analyst, the company’s market share reached 40.4 % in the first quarter of 2025, which is more than 32.6 % in the same period last year.

Trying to remove a percentage of this growing market share may not be the best idea for Google yet. People will need a great reason to succeed and, in the case of Vanilla Razer Claim Shell, a lot of cheap equipment offering motorola and Samsung.

Reason 4: Different views for foldable

Google begins to develop Android for bullets and book -style foldables with 12l feature drop

Google is trying hard to improve Android for large screen tablets and foldables. The push started with the Android 12L feature drop, which tried to offer the best user experience in view of the unique aspect of foldable, and a smooth transfer from the core screen to the central display.

It may not be easy to tweet the software or to adapt to a clam shell design as it seems. Google Google to create a useful and competitive device may take some time to find the best UI solution for Philip Phone.

    Is Pixel Philip wasted?

Maybe we have a pixel flip but we’ll have to wait a few years. Photo by Fonina

It’s too early to say. What is the competition, that is, looking at Apple, it seems that Google and Apple Philip are leaving the phone market on Samsung and Motorola and focusing on book -style foldable.

And while Pixel 10 Pro Fold Absolutely around the corner, and it is expected that next year the iPhone fold will come, pull a pixel on the horizon or there are no iPhone flip models.

However, in the next two years, we should not reject any possible attempt on the Climb Shell Farm Factor through Google. None of the above obstacles are unacceptable. They only depend on the time and the market.

As the foldable market share is increasing, there may be new opportunities, and as the Philip design is solid, Google’s risk of being wrong at the first attempt is diminishing.

What do you think about it? Would you like to see a Pixel Philip phone, and even more importantly, would you buy a one instead of choosing Z Flip or Razer?
