While Microsoft was busy updating the pilot with the new Openi’s new GPT5 model, it quietly launched the Co -Pilot 3D. This is a free use feature that can regularly transform the 2D image into a 3D model that can then be used in game creation, animation, 3D printing, VR / AR, and more.
Co -Pilot 3D just needs a good clean 2D image, and you do not need to use any text indicators. Microsoft recommends the use of clear backgrounds or strong separation images between the subject and the background. I am testing the Co -Palt 3D today and I find that when a picture has a sense of light and depth, it works better, so that the AI model helps to change the 2D elements into 3D.
Co -Pilot is a part of the 3D Co -Co -Copylot Labs, which means that this is a preview feature that is currently available for users’ sub -sets. You do not have to be a Co -Pro -Pro Subscriber, as it is open to all co -caps consumers globally. You can try the Copylot on the web version.
In my limited testing, it does not work very well on animals or humans. I am also not sure what happened here, but it seems that Coophot tried to guess that my dog had a penis (he does), and then decided to put the penis on his back.
While the copeal 3D struggles with the dog’s anatomy, it works greatly to convert 2D items to 3D. I tested IKEA furniture, beach balls, an umbrella and a group of some banana. The retailer’s website’s IKEA furniture did a really good job, which gave me a 3D model that I can easily leave and experience with it. Co -Pilot 3D initially struggled with an umbrella, but once I used a picture that had a deeper, it made the umbrella just right. It added the cast cast by the shaft on the original image of the umbrella, but it is easy to edit the 3D design tool. Bananas also had an easy task for the Co -Pilot 3D.
You have to use 2D images under 10MB and they must be JPG or PNG to work with Co -Palt 3D. Once the images are converted to 3D, they will be saved in the creation section for 28 days and you can download them freely in the GLB format – which is compatible with 3D viewers, design tools, and game engines. If you want to import the result in the blender or start hiding any image, you can also convert the GLB download to SLT.
I also tried to get the copeal 3D to convert photos of Tim Cook and Taylor Swift into 3D models, but he continued to refuse. I just got a “not producing content” message, possibly in the model protector. Microsoft notes that you just want to use the actual images that you have or have the rights to use, “and do not use images that include” reflection of individuals without consent “or copyright content. I was able to model my own face successfully, though the result was horrible.
It does not seem that the Co -Pilot 3D does not stop trying to make you make Mario’s 3D model, even though the results are far from good. Microsoft has warned that “if we detect an attempt to upload illegal content or content, the use of your account or co -pilot can be limited or suspended that violates the Code Code of Coopelot Code.”
