On Monday, the Samsung Display announced a brand new brand of Foldable O LED display called Montrex, which will be formally introduced this week in the South Korean city of Seoul’s Display 2025 Korea Display Exhibition. The Samsung display has been producing foldable OLED panels for seven years, and the latest screens are not only thin and light than past exhibitions, they are also extremely durable, which are fully active after 500,000 folds.
“Since starting the mass production of foldable OLEDs in 2019, we have continued a technical innovation to complete the product in 2019,” said Jay Yun, head of the Executive Vice President and Mobile Display Marketing Team.

The name Montelix means something for the Samsung display and is based on the Mountain’s French word. The Samsung Unit says the mankar “represents the pledge of foldable innovation and embraces the company’s drive for the perfect foldable panel.” In addition, the first four letters of Montplaix each stand name for a significant power of the Samsung foldable OLED display:
- M -mechanically durable offering outstanding folding.
- O-copto mechanically providing a clear display with a flat, minimal crease.
- N-Narrow bezels that make the screen area more and more.
- T thin and lightweight design that enhances portability.
“After the launch of a foldable panel, which passed a 500,000 -fold stability test with a newly developed ‘traumatic structure’, we will continue to advance the limits to supply more foldable products that exceed the expectations of the market.
Through the launch of the Montrex, Samsung Display said it expects both consumers and its users to show the “unique price” of their foldable O LED panels. At the same time, Samsung wants to remind the world that he is expected to be a “leading driver of future development” in foldables.
We must get more information about the new display when Samsung placed them on the display (sentence) on a display on the display during the 2025 Korean display exhibition.
