In the early August 2025, the rocket lab successfully launched QPS-SAR-12 (named Kohnada-I), which is an artificial appearance radar (SAR) satellite built by Japan’s IQPS (IQPS (QU-Show-Punerian Institute of Space). This mission, called “crop goddesses grows” in honor of a Japanese goddess of harvest and prosperity, was the fifth dedicated launch of the rocket lab for IQPS. 59 feet (18 meters) electron rocket lifted the satellite in a circular orbit 575 km. The QPS -SAR -12 SAR Earth will be included in the expansion of the imaging satellite, which will enable observation of every season, day and night. The launch has exemplified the rocket lab’s role in the deployment of small dedicated satellites and has pursued the purpose of the IQPS 36 satellite global SAR network.

“The goddess of the crop flourish” Mission

According to a rocket lab press release, the electron rocket was lifted on August 5, 2025 with New Zealand. The mission, called “Crop God Devi rises”, raised the QPSSA-12 radar satellite (Koshnada-I) for the IQPS. The 18 -meter car operates at 12:10 pm EDT (4:10 pm NZT). The electron injected Koshinada I in the orbit of 575 km of sun, about 54 54 minutes after the elevator off.

Kotanda-I honors a Shinto Harvest goddess and has been formally nominated QPS-SAR-12. The rocket lab was the fifth mission for the IQPS and a total of the 69th electron flight. The rocket lab is also producing a large neutron rocket and drives a suburbatal test vehicle for hypersonic research.

    IQPS SAR Bridge and Requests

By the middle of 2025, ten QPS-Sars were in satellite orbit, and Koshnada-I started the 12th launch. The IQPS is planning a total of 36 small SAR spacecraft. Each satellite holds high resolution SAR that is worth imaging through clouds or at night. The full -fledged region is designed to review about 10 10 minutes on any target region, which can be monitored nearby.

The SAR network will create a photo of both the fixed region and moving items (vehicles, ships or livestock). The rocket lab has noted that this permanent data stream has “the ability to revolutionize industries and renovate the future,” unlocking economic insights and predictions for agriculture, civil security and other markets.
