- Samsung has introduced a new voice captioning feature in an UI 8.
- It is part of Samsung’s Galaxy AI Sweet and is directly beyond caption to translate audio, summarize it, and save title text and audio file.
- The catch is that this feature is not yet officially available, so you have to download an AP to access it.
Samsung has added a new feature to the Galaxy AI Tolls on an UI 8 called Voice Captation. This allows users to change the speech into a text in real time, whether they are from a video, call, or direct conversation. What makes it more powerful than Samsung’s current direct captions is his ability to translate his speech into different languages and summarize what was said.
Although direct captions in a UI copy words spoken only in one language, the sound captioning offers a real -time translation of titles in multiple languages, just as directly translated with a direct caption feature on pixel phones. In addition, you get the title media or conversation summary, with the ability to save text and audio.
This feature was seen by the Galaxytchi on X, which confirmed that it was still officially available in China. However, users can manually install APK so that it can try to run an UI 8 or a UI 7 on its Galaxy phones.
Once you install the APK, you will need to add shortcuts to the sound title and allow the necessary permission to be titled in your quick settings panel. You will also need to choose auxiliary languages for translations.
We tested the AP on our Galaxy Z Foli 7 running One U8. After installing the app, we managed to add a shortcut to the title of the instant settings, but the app is unexpectedly stopped. Reddate reports also say that it does not work on the beta version of an UI 8, but some users have been successful using it on an UI 8 and a UI 7.
If you want to try the sound title before formally expire, you can install the AP, but be aware that it cannot work properly on all devices. Otherwise, it would be better to wait for Samsung to release it globally.
