When it comes to the best handheld gaming consoles for 2025, you are going to choose between three: Asus Rog Xbox Elly X, Lenovo Lashkar Go 2 and MSI Panj A8.
All three runs AMD’s Raizen Z 2 Extertium chip set (ASUS AI injection version is obtained), a bucket full of RAM, a giant battery and gaming aergonomics in their core. Of all the handhelds announced this year (many of them are), these are three above the mountain of the next generation, and it raises a question-which one should you buy?

Of all kinds, this will probably be the one that is the most discriminatory, as there is a different approach to the design and display of each company.
Let’s start with the ROG Xbox Allied X. It focuses on portability and aergonomics. It is the smallest of the flag, and it is reflected in a 7 -inch LCD panel. But it is also the most thick due to better aergonomics, which contains a side grip that has this cylindrical form of the traditional gamepad.
We still have to move fully with this system (trust me, it’s coming soon), but we like the design, even if it is the smallest.

If you want the best screen, the same place comes to Lashkar Go 2-to separate the controllers as well as to separate the controllers, which will be great for the local multi-player or just setting up this beautiful 8.8-inch OLED display. However, with a large screen and more mechanical parts to separate the controllers, it is slightly larger and very heavy on the surface of more than 2 pounds.

Just because internals like these two handhelds games do not mean that there is no clear winner in the performance department.
All of these run a version of the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extra, which in turn is very common with Z1 Extra (8 core/16 threads). In testing the MSI Kilo A8, I managed to get some impressive frame rate of 60+ FPS in some of the key AAA titles like Spider -Man 2. Of course, it was just a sharp test and not a complete lab bench marking.
But the superpower Zen comes in 5 architecture, which opens the RDNA 3.5. This is the one that performs the performance with upgrade leak testing.

Of course, it is ignoring the elephant in the room. The ROG Xbox ally X packs a Ryzen AI X2 Extertium, which is basically the same chip but is bold with NPU. I am not sure what it does for sports performance. But developers can adjust this to the machine -learned machine -learned frame or loyalty.
As far as battery is concerned, this is an area where MSI and Microsoft can be the big edge. Both the toes A8 and the ROG Xbox ally play an 80Wh cell, while Lashkar -e -Go 2 has a 74Wh battery. This is a small difference, but looking at a large screen draw of a big screen, it can mean decreasing the stamina.
But there is a key advantage that the ROG Xbox ally X will be higher than the other two – software. Not only in the UI of opening directly in the Xbox experience instead of Windows 11, but also in performance.

On this Xbox Handheld, Microsoft will stop all background processing running Windows, which has often been the main reason behind the damaged battery life on handhelds when in comparison to the locking stamo.
We are not sure how much impact it has, but at least, I’m seeing improvement in my friends’ performance in other tests. So this is definitely the reason for being on a little bit!
