    Denon AH-C 840 NCW: Two-minute Review

Sometimes when testing some of the best aerobids (and sets not involved in this group), it seems that the product can be easily broken into three types: the buds trying to counter the air pods, the Air Pods Pro, and the buds that are clearly speaking to them. Denon AH-C 840 NCW can be easily inserted into the middle category.

These Denan AH -500 is siblings, the buds have been listed directly in the former category, but the set you are reading here comes with a significant difference: these buds come with a silicon ear indicator, and a boot with noise cancellation. That is why it collides with the first category.

Denon is a high-end audio company based in Japan that has made a respected name for himself with home audio, AV system and speaker, and when it is not a stranger for personal audio (such as headphones and airbids-parl pro), it is not clearly his bread and butter. For example: AH-C840NCW is exactly fine airbuds that are definitely a viable option in view of Apple’s expensive airbuds… but they are not the most matching. Other Air Pods Pro Alternatives in the market.

Denon AH-C 840 NCW loses close to Apple’s options than most rivals, and this design is the most clear in the department. It cannot be denied that these are dupgulgers – if you want – Dinongers – and there is no problem. Denon has eliminated well -respected construction and these lightweight buds are easy on the ear, even if the indicators let down a bit.

Even in audio quality, it is anxious to the buds. The audio mix is quite neutral sound, the boss does a little sking, but otherwise like the quality for songs (though really difficult to love) offers quality.

So far, therefore the Air Pods Pro, and it is not necessary to have any flaws – the buds have reduced Apple’s premium buds to a sweet margin. But Denon is not the only company that is probably trying to offer a procedure option on the non -pro budget to the Airbuds buyers, with a lot of alternatives to the price that my word counting forbids me from listing a portion of them.

This is a feature set that lets down AH-C840ncW. Despite the cancellation of some impressive dynamic noise, there is an overall lack of extra functionality, and some stumbling in what is actually. This is the area that often doesn’t describe the best airbids you buy, and so I struggle to find a unique sales point for Denon.

I usually like to hear Denon AH -840 NCW during my test, but this is not what he recommends to buy with his money. Many of their rivals usually have a lot to offer, so they are only able to buy if you are looking for perfectly matching buds, instead of beating in any way.

Denon AH-C 840 NCW Overview: Price and release date

    • On the scene and released in April 2025
    • Cost £ 149 (about $ 200,, AU $ 300)

Denon AH-C 840 NCW was announced in April, as well as with AHC 500W who is the same but slightly cheap and Miss ANC.

You can buy AH-C840ncW at £ 149 (about $ 200, AU $ 300) so that they are at the middle of the price. I could not find them on sale in Australia or the United States, but Denon presented an airbound in countries (especially in the United States, which saw the AH -500W and AH -C 830 NCW), so it is possible to launch in these territories.

At least by deciding on the UK price, this is an 8 % increase on the last generation model, but the price is 50 % higher than the non -ANC siblings.

I have to identify it, writing three months after the release of the buds, it is very easy to find them in exemption. Not a huge amount, but up to 10 % -15 % depends on what color you want, which is still able to keep in mind.

    • Cancellation of solid noise
    • 7 -hour battery life with ANC
    • Lack of additional features

Unlike his siblings, Denn AHC offers 840 NCW ANC, which I Think The name refers to ‘NC’. I didn’t expect much – why would the company leave the ANC on this second product if the company is beneficial in its sleeves – but the offer of this model was a pleasant surprise.

The AHC 840 NCW noise is canceled, eliminating the noise of the disturbing background without any clue. The app also offers you a transparency mood that works in a slightly different way: Instead of scanning important noises to scrutinize your ears (such as sounds and voices, sounds in the branches in the woods), I got the impression that it is just a weak AC. I may be wrong about it, but in the mood of Denon’s transparency, things felt calm in comparison to the equals that I have experienced.

Talking about the app, it is easily called ‘headphones’, but you can find it by finding Denon’s name and in the Play Store or App Store. In addition to changing ANC methods, it facilitates you to customize touch controls, monitor the contacts of the buds (multi -point pair allows two smooth pairs), turn on Lee audio, apply for an airbid only in wear detection and monitor battery levels.

Finally, there is a equation, which is just 5 bands and does not offer paracets. If you are accustomed to customizing the sound of your own airbodes, you may find it a bit restricted.

The battery life collides with 7 hours with which the ANC is turned on or closed with it for 10 hours, the data that are the factor in your case can go up to 24 or 35, respectively. Battery life is ever slightly above average and my own test is almost related to Den Denin’s statistics.

It may be one of the shortest ‘features’ parts I have ever written in the review, because Denin does not offer too much in the way of useful features beyond the basics. It’s a shame because it’s in the feature set that (headphones) boys (headphones) become men, and offers many additional methods and functions, with rivals, affecting AH -840 NCW competitiveness.

    • Little pebble Carey Case
    • Air Pods Pro Leakylax
    • Sensitive touch controls

Referring to Denon AH -840 NCW as ‘Air Pods Pro Lcaleyx’, I probably produced some photos of stem broken airbeds with silicon tips and light highlights. This explanation does not necessarily indicate the airpod – the world of wireless airbids is much different, with different shapes and size buds – but in this case it is fine. You’ve seen the pictures, you knew where the phrase was going.

The buds weigh 5.1 grams so they are good and light, and as it shows in detail, it is made for a trunk that has ‘Denon’, a round body and a tip that spreads to a light angle. You can buy buds in black or white (which also applies to this matter) but the design is the same.

Invisible Somewhere There is a touch control, which you can customize in the app to change the volume, prevent games or music, etc. I say ‘somewhere’ because I never knew where to tap it – usually taping the upper part of the stem, but sometimes I accidentally suppress it when adjusting the buds to my ear, when my fingers were not near anywhere.

On this topic, I had to adjust the buds in my ear frequently. When they do not sit around the house, but when walking with the buds (sickly advised that they are not running aerbed), when walking with them, or when you work in the gym (sitting and sitting at the final fit test!). Even I experienced different tip size in the box (there are four, not counting on the buds, do not count on the buds) and did not get help – I am going to point to the finger on the material used in the tip, not to offer enough friction.

If you are not walking and need to adjust the airbods permanently, they are pleasant to wear, with light blood, ensuring that you never get hurt for a long time. The buds also have a rating of IPX4, which protects them from spraying, but not seriously soaked.

Equally lightweight and portable AHC 840 is a matter of NCW, which is good and small in 58 x 21.3 x 25.4 mm and is light at 54 grams. Something like this is easy to slip into the pockets without slipping without it, or when you are charging it through a USB-C port, hide it to your desk.

Denon AH-C 840 NCW Overview: Sound quality

    • Single 12 mm driver
    • Ever mainly hot audio profile
    • Maximum volume is too low

Denon AHC 840 NCW against wooden table.

Denon has fitted AHC 840 NCW with a 12 mm driver. This is the same piece of kit that his brother had seen, but with the ears that ensure the voice of the surroundings, the buds look much better.

The AHC 840 NCW has a warm sound profile that pushes the boss a bit, but it is so minor that it will not prevent people who prefer more neutral sound. The boss is scoping and well described, but the tribal is also clean and sharp.

I would love to see another clear, wide and layered sound, because it seems that the buds lost devices and harmony that were not prominent, but they are in detail where it is counted in sound, drums and keys.

Although the maximum volume is not too high. When you are at home or an office, it’s fine to hear everyday, but if I want to hear more music than traffic, or get some extra ophrifs for the running song on the run, I found my phone’s volume up button constantly pressing – and it didn’t really help.

    • A decent price compared to air pods …
    • … not so much more than other rivals

Compared to Apple Air Pods Pro, I am willing to say that Denne AH-C 840 offers decent price for NCW money. They reduce big name buds without cutting the quality too much.

However, when you consider some other options in the market at this price, you realize that you can still get a Lot More similar $/£/AU $ range for your money is a combination of rivals rigorous design, wide feature set or better audio quality, and generally all three.

How did I experience Denon AHC 840 NCW

    • Tested for two weeks
    • At home, at the office, experienced and tested on a walk

My testing period for AH -C840ncw Airbuds was two weeks long, and it was straightened when I wrote Danne AH -500 W Review, so I had to examine the backwards.

For the entire testing period, I made Denon Dining with my Android smartphone and tested apps such as Spatifs, YouTube, Netflix and some sports. In the test house, around my neighborhood (on runs and walks), on public transport, was done in my office and gym.

I’ve been reviewing audio products for Tech Radar for years, which includes many Denon’s rivals and the products made by the aforementioned three rivals.
