    Last year, one of the dozens of companies affected by the Asnaphilic CyberTex, auto parts, resulting in these attacks, reached an agreement against violations of data in its cloud storage environment.

    The May 2024 violation leaked the personal information of 2.3 million employees and employment applicants, and eligible people should have already received a data violation notification letter from the company stating that their data was stolen and indicated whether they were not funded.

    Advanced auto parts data violations exposed the name, email address, mailing address, date of birth, drivers’ license number, social security numbers, settlement details and other personal information from millions of employees and applicant job requests.

    Those who have received the letter and intend to file a claim will need to do so by October 8, 2025. Additionally, they will need to add evidence such as invoice, account statements or tax documents that will cost them due to their violation. The maximum salary amount is up to 5,200 and can be eligible for an additional $ 100 under California resident CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act).

    The settlement also offers a two -year credit and identity monitoring, though the affected people can reject it and instead choose alternatives to $ 100 cash payment. Classes Action Liracy claims that in advance auto parts have failed to take considerable steps to prevent violations. As is common in such settlements, the company did not recognize the wrong actions but agreed to resolve the claims. The final court will hear on October 23, 2025.
