Look for the Epic Games Store, as it should appear at the Google Play Store soon. After losing an appeal of the judge’s order, Google will now have to restore its App Store policies. This includes letting third party app stores go to their platform.

Today, the ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decided (by Bloomberg) The original epic vs Google to maintain this decision with legal action. The decision was monopolized by the Play Store and Tech Dev payment system. As a result, Google will have to follow the treatment of this dissatisfaction. These treatments include limiting the company’s ability to pay for the Play Store in advance, allowing developers to use other payment systems, and opening Android to third -party app stores.

The decision came in 2024 after Google won the temporary administration. However, Google was still forced to stop dealing with other phone manufacturers, which installed shipping hardware with non -Google App Stores.

After handing over this decision, Google’s Regulatory Affairs VP, Li Nn Molhuland, provided the following statement:

This decision will significantly damage the consumer safety, limit the selection, and damage the innovation that is always central to the Android environmental system. Our top priority is to protect our customers and developers, and ensure a safe platform when we continue to appeal.

Developers Alliance Board Chair Jack Ward echoed the emotions presented by Google. Sent in a statement Android AuthorityWard said:

The ninth circuit has talked – and apparently, creating a safe platform that gives rise to innovation is now the basis of punishment. By maintaining a district court treatment, the court has given Apple complete dominance of the app market over a silver player.

This misleading treatment will not promote or help consumers, but will endanger the confidence and value of developers in the Android ecosystem. Forcing Google to distribute third -party app stores on Google Play and allowing developers to connect to unsafe places raises security concerns that will damage consumer confidence in Android.

In an anxious economy, developers need help and stability – to the extent of the judicial extent that introduces new threats and obstacles to success.

Meanwhile, claiming a “complete victory” on Epic (formerly Twitter), Epic CEO Tim Swini praised the decision. He followed another after the social post, which announced that the epic sports store for Android would now come to the Play Store due to a decision.
