Of these, the backup app is extremely painful. It backed some safer credentials, some windows settings, and some Windows apps in your account. It can also take backups of folders you describe, if your account has a place for them (the pallet you get 5GB of free will not be much good, but there is there).
I had already used the Windows Backup app with my Microsoft account at some point in the past, so I was automatically offered free entry into the ESU program. Whatever option you select, click the entry button, and your computer will be signed up for extra years of updates.
A status message in the Windows Update app will confirm that your PC has been enrolled. You will find security updates for Windows itself by October 2026, and Microsoft has pledged to provide Microsoft Defnder Anti -Virus definitions and provide security updates to the Microsoft Office version, which is at least 2028.
What if I don’t want to store anything with Microsoft?
We know that some of you do not want to do anything exactly with the Microsoft account, yet someone needs someone as a prerequisite for using any version of Windows 11 of the company. If it describes you, the good news is that you can enroll in the ESU program without the need to enroll in Windows Backup or without signing any kind of Microsoft account.
To turn off the use of Windows Backup, click on Settings, Accounts, and Windows Backup, and turn off all toggles to prevent future backups. You should be able to clear any previous backup settings by going to your Microsoft Account settings in a web browser, from the device tabs, scrolling down, and clicking “Clear Settings”. Any files compatible by one drive can be managed through its web interface.
To completely sign out from the Microsoft account, visit the settings, accounts, and your information tab. There, you should be able to “sign in with the local account instead” or “stop signing in automatically in all apps of Microsoft,” depends on whether you have signed in to the first place. After converting to a local account, you can also visit the settings, accounts, and email and account tabs and remove any Microsoft account that you see here if you don’t want to use them for Edge or other Windows apps on your computer.
Even after removing all the Vesparaces from all the Microsoft accounts from your PC, you have been enrolled on the Windows Update page “Your PC Extension Security Updates” Status Message “has been entered your PC. We will prefer that you do not want to get updates, but do not want to get a rigging. The price is 10 or 15 minutes of irritation.
