Amazon is still betting on the colorful e ink, even if it has a rocky start last year. The company added only two more devices to the Line Line -up of its burning colors: a cheap 16GB version and a new burning color children. Both are starting today.
As described in the Amazon Press Release, the cost of 16GB Klosoft is $ 249.99, leaving wireless charging and cutting storage by half of the last year by cutting $ 30. Otherwise, it is the same device, which is complete with the same color screen, adjusting warm light, and the ability to highlight the text in different colors.
The new version of children is the first color burning, which is aimed at underage readers. It costs 9 269.99 and includes a year of Amazon Kids Plus, a colorful protective case, and a parent’s controlled Amazon’s routine. Amazon says that children who read comedy and graphic novels on burning just spend more than 50 % of the time reading on average, so the move makes sense.
Both models use the same color soft display that began last year. At that time, burning the first color of Amazon created some doubts from us. We found the display resolution disappointing, which falls to 150ppi in color mode, as well as a lack of any features of taking note. Some buyers also reported screen tint issues, which delayed and promised software fixed.
Amazon has not changed the hardware here, but it is clearly hoping that these new additions will expand the appeal, either to those who do not want to spend 0 280 for the signature edition or the families seeking a friendly option for children.
