I’ve been an Android boy for 15 years. Fun Fact: I never have an iPhone owned. I’ve been on team Android since the first day, and during this decade and a half, I have used almost every big brand phones you can think about – Samsung, LG, One Plus and more. But for the past few years, I’ve been on a brand all: Google Pixel.

My current daily driver is Google Pixel 9 Pro, and whenever I need to use another phone for work, I immediately. I feel myself losing it. But what’s about this phone, and before it comes to the pixels, which shuts me so much? After much thinking, I have noticed that it comes to some important areas where Google is permanently right for me, even if some other things go wrong.

    It starts with design

    Ryan Hans / Android Authority

I take the smartphone design very seriously. I realize that this is not normal. Most people tell me that they don’t even care about how the phone feels or feels, because it is “just going to a case”, which I can’t discuss. However, I will always be in the madness of the design of the phones because that is what creates that thing (or not more often, does not create) my emotional attachment.

With pixels, I’ve always been a fan of how to design Google. Certainly, there are some reminders here-the bathtub-shaped display mark on the Pixel 3 XL comes to mind-but overall, I think Pixels are constantly having some of the best-looking phones there. Since Pixel 6, Google has bent in its camera bar design, which is not only a bold and specific visual statement but also amazingly practical. In the sea of a phone that looks alike with frustration, the camera bar is immediately recognized. It’s better now, when I put it on a table, it prevents the phone from rotating – one of my pet urine that makes me crazy with other devices.

Google has not always designed, but in the past few years, it has really come inside.

Pixel 9 Pro, in particular, has yet become my favorite design, the main reason is that it is a powerful phone in manageable size. I know that many Android fans like large numbers, but Pixel 9 Pro is hit by a sweet place for me. It is comfortable to use a hand, which has been a game changer for my daily use and has made me feel more connected to the phone. It only feels right in a way that no other device has.

Best of all, I don’t think I’m sacrificing for this small size. Ignoring the slight difference in battery capacity, the Pixel 9 Pro is practically the same in the large, the more expensive pixel 9 Pro XL. You get the same performance, the same display quality, and the same versatile cameras. Right now, no other Android phone actually offers this advanced, nine compomise experience in this form element. In other words, Pixel 9 Pro Goldlix Phone is: All right.

Camera on which I can really trust Trint

Rita El Khuri / Android Authority

If you follow the smartphone world exactly, you have heard this thousand times: Pixel cameras are terrific. One of the major reasons for their success is how easy it is to get a great shot to Google. You do not need to be a professional photographer. You can only indicate, shoot, and trust that you will find a picture that looks between good and perfectly amazing.

You’ve heard a thousand times that Pixels have great cameras, but what does that mean? For me, that means confidence, which is very important.

Although most flagship phones can take great pictures these days, they often come with frustrating trade. For example, Samsung’s phone shutters are notorious for interval – pressing the button and delaying the image to be taken. We have experienced it mass Android AuthorityAnd this can mean the difference between a fast moving pet or a baby to capture the perfect moment or completely remember it. Samsung also has a tendency to do colors, and makes the photo dynamic but unrealistic. On the other hand, iPhones often ship with weak camera hardware compared to similar price Android phones. It doesn’t matter how much software you use magic, big sensors and better lenses will almost always produce more detailed results.

All this comes down is confident. When I am occupying a valuable memory, I can never come back, I don’t want to worry about whether the phone shot will nail. I want to live, shoot and come back to live. I am confident of pixels to do more reliable than any other phone.

    But it’s really about software

    Joe Mark / Android Authority

The upper part of this list is how it manages my phone calls. I Hate is Talking on the phone and if I can, I will refrain from it. Features like call screen, which have an unknown number of Google Assistant Response Calls for me, are invaluable. I can see a direct transcript of the conversation and decide whether it is quite important to occupy it. Similarly, for me, hold is a life -saving. It waits for me on the hold and plays a warning when a real person finally returns to the line. These are not tricks. These are practical features that make my life easier.

Smartphones can do a lot of good things, but there are many things that can make a pixel that no other phone can do.

Another feature that I cannot live can have has advanced voice typing in Gboard. Although G -board is available everywhere, the pixel experience is at another level. This is far more accurate, when I speak, it automatically adds to the punishment, and allows me to switch between typing and talking without interruption. Even when I want to add emoji and when I am working, I can send a message, which makes it really hand -free. For someone who uses the text permanently, don’t go back there.

And of course, getting the latest version of Android in the first day and knowing that I have up to seven years of support. As an eager to Android, I always want the latest features as soon as I get stable, and to own a pixel is the only way to guarantee – anyway, without being a free beta tester for another smartphone company.

Pixels aren’t perfect, and it’s ok

Rita El Khuri / Android Authority

Well, so this whole article is just praising Pixel, but I’m not blind to their flaws. The tanker processor, while fine for everyday tasks, cannot compete with the high -end snapdragon chips in raw performance and performance. This is undeniable. Pixels also run hot under heavy use and have less charge speed than many rivals. Pixels are expensive at a certain price proportion, and they are not available as competitors in most countries. There are many problems that I cannot deny.

But I am pleased with these trade relations for two important reasons. First, no phone is perfect. Each device has its own set of compromises. Samsung Galaxy S25 is an animal, but it is also huge and expensive. One Plus 13 is also great – I also think it can be the best of 2025 – but its camera system is not as permanent as pixels or even galaxy phones. It only comes in one size in most parts of the world: huge. The fact that Pixels are not perfect is not Dell Breaker because they permanently provide things I personally care about.

Problems with pixels are real and important, but the benefits these issues are much higher than a big margin.

Second, and even more importantly, I am not trapped after making deep investment in the pixels and through the Google Eco system. Apple is clearly the worst culprit with his so -called “wall garden”, but Samsung Engineering Customer Lock is also guilty of them. Unlike other ecosystem, Google has not closed me in its world. If I want to buy tomorrow One Plus 13, my Smart Watch will still work, my smart home devices will still be controlled, and my digital life will almost no change. When Google does something I don’t like, I can leave without other thinking. The irony is that Lock, their freedom makes me even more loyal to the pixel world, because I know I am there by choice.

Finally, being a “pixel boy” is not about to believe Google that Google has developed a reasonably perfect device, because there is no such thing. It is about choosing a phone that permanently makes the qualities nail that matters to the real world. The camera on which I rely on with my valuable memories, the software that really improves my day, and the designs that feel how I use this product in tailor -made. Other phones can win on the benchmark or better than the cost/price approach, but the pixel wins my loyalty by correcting the human element. And in the world of wall gardens that are designed to trap you, there is a special force sticking to the ecosystem that is confident enough to go to you. For me, this makes the choice clear. Now, bring Pixel 10 series!
