Google Maps losing these two features – what’s changing here

Google Maps have many features, but it seems that more and more social people will be removed in a few months.

According to a recent post on the Google Community Support page (through tech issues to date), Google Maps users will no longer be able to follow the assistants. This planned change will be automatically in September 2025 and will include deleting all your followers’ data, as well as your followers.

It has also been noted that your profile sequences will not be changed, and you can still choose to hide the specific content in your profile.

    You can like

Although Google is removing the ability to actively follow other users, you can still see the contributions to users. The only big difference is that you will not have these reviews and photos for you to appear for the tab.

Google has also said that users can still connect with local guides associated with partners or use the Google Maps list feature to find new locations to see.

For some people, removal of the follower’s feature would be disappointing, especially if you value your friends’ opinions, reviews and photos of local restaurants and more. However, in the five years of feature on the app, the follower’s request has received many complaints about spamming boats, so there is no use to deal with permanent information.

    Other Google Maps changes

In addition, when we are losing this feature, we are seeing a lot to add a lot to Google Maps, including the new screenshot feature rollout. This allows Google Maps to look for the direction of visible locations online on iOS and further smooth the screen poor.

Get quick access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, big deals and helpful points.

This allows Google Maps to quickly scan your photo library and collect all the images you have, which contains location information. You can then use these screenshots to plan your travels.

We have also recently seen that Google Maps has apparently removed the media playback feature from the app’s Android version. While many were worried about the loss, Google has then issued a statement that the reason for this is due to the bug, not the official update. Google is allegedly working on a solution to this problem, so it should not affect consumers for long.

This change is not something that will affect how many people will use the app, but for others, it can be a sign to move to a different app. However, it is not possible to follow other users on Apple’s maps or vows.
