I find a lot of strange pitches in my inbox, but the “9V battery flavored corn chips” still stopped me in my tracks. My brain was ringing with questions (what? Who? Who? Why!?!), But the most important thing: What kind of taste are they taking?
This limited flavor of the edition comes from the Revind, a new launch brand in Europe, which begins in the Netherlands, which promises to mix “old memories with interesting flavors”. Most of them are normal.
When I last lick a battery, I bought myself in the name of science. 9V battery is to lick Probably Safe, though Rewind is clear that it does “Not Recommend licking, cutting, or otherwise recommending real batteries. But I think it’s good enough for my partner, it is quite unpleasant for me: a small, sharp shock and after a lasting metal.
Reward is slightly less severe than taking it. The first has a sharp, acidic taste, but it is lighter than I expected. I like salt and vinegar chips, and I had packs that wander me more than them. What stands a bit is that it all has a taste of minerals, it is a strange cinnamon that is not a million miles away from the battery metal. The chips themselves are slightly thinner than my choice – I prefer a crisis more than Terla chips – but not bad at all.
“It was definitely an extraordinary short,” says Chef Metas Larson, a taste -maker. “We used a mixture of citric acid and sodium bike carbonate to produce a language -powered effect, and balanced it with mineral salts that give the chips metal.”
9V battery chips are limited editions, but if you are keen, Rwand has a form where you can request a sample pack, which sends ships around the world.
