Just two years ago, we reviewed the Xiaomi TV stick 4K. We found this a solid player, but lacked its support for HDR formats. The company has just unveiled the second -generation model that fixes it and makes a lot of improvement.
The Xumi TV stick 4K is powered by a new chip set, which has Quad Corps Cortex-A55 CPU and one arm Mall-G 310V2GPU. Compared to the old chip (4x A35, Mali-G31 MP2), 80 % of it has more CPU performance and GPU has a 150 % increase in performance. However, the memory capacity has changed in 2GB of Ram and 8GB storage.
It now operates Google TV interface. Google created dirt to name its TV product, but Google TV is what you want (Android TV is an old launcher but also OS’s name).

The new stick not only supports dolby vision, but also supports the HDR10+ (which was lacking on the first generation stick). Audio’s IT, it handles both Dolby Atmos and DT: X. The original stick had already supported the AV1 decoding, as it is.
Relations with high -speed Wi -Fi 6 (ax, WiFi 5/AC) have been improved. Bluetooth is the same on V5.2.
The added remote has some new buttons. It uses Bluetooth, because the stick is likely to be hidden behind your TV and infrared will not work (IR needs a look line). New Xiaomi TV+ launches a free direct TV streaming service. It also includes Netflix and Prime Video buttons in YouTube and apps.

Right now, the Xiaomi TV stick is listed in € 40/$ 46 on the second general aliexpress (this is with a discount of 52 %). We should soon start watching it at other retailers.
