Companies have not made it clear where these new centers will be built, but Bloomberg It is reported that Texas, Michigan, Wisconsin and Woming are all under consideration.

The Chat GPT maker says the new capacity is a part of the Star Gate Project, and that in conjunction with a GW campus in the city of Abelin, Texas, the company is offering more than two million AI chips more than five gigawatts after completion of new centers. Open AI estimates that massive moves will generate more than 100,000 jobs, though statistics centers historically hire some full -time workers, most of which are associated with construction.

Although budget details have not been shared, Open says these new data centers represent significant progress towards this promise of investing $ 500 billion in the United States to build 10 GWAI infrastructure over the next four years. These investments, which are part of all the Star Gate Project, are also being made as a partner as well as partners, though the Softbank is not financing the phase.

The announcement came when large tech companies are putting billions in new data centers and power contracts to maintain the growth of AI and power future models. Google recently closed a $ 3 billion contract to secure 3,000 MW hydroelectric power, while Microsoft plans to resume three miles of nuclear power plants.

In a press release announcing a new project, the Open AI said, “The Star Gate is a prominent step designed to meet historical opportunities before us.
